My Favorite Birthday - Easy Peasy All-in

My Favorite Birthday
For my twelfth birthday, I went to a concert to see two of my favorite artists sing. My
original plan was to go to the local tearoom with some family and a friend. But after thinking
about both ideas for what was probably a long time, I decided to go to the concert.
All I knew about it was that it was a Fish local radio station concert, Mandisa and Laura
Story were going to be singing there, that it was only for girls, and that my mom, my aunt, and I
were going there. And my sister wanted to go too, but my mom said that she probably would
not enjoy it because it was for older girls and women to enjoy. But she said that because she
wanted to keep it special and for big girls because it was my twelfth birthday. We got
Mandisa’s newest CD at that time so we could learn her songs before the concert. And on the
computer there was a video that had Mandisa demonstrating how to do the zumba routine, a
dance that she made up, for her song “Good Morning”.
On the evening of my birthday we dressed up nicely and when my aunt got to our house
we went to the concert. My dad stayed home with my siblings. On the way there we listened to
Mandisa’s newest CD at that time. The concert was inside the gym of a church filled with a
bunch of people. I was surprised at how many boys were there, although there were way
more girls there. We sat in the balcony with a close up view of the people on the stage. When
it was time to start Kevin and Taylor, talk people for the Fish radio station morning show, went
on the stage and talked for a minute. Then Anita Renfro, a comedian lady, came out and sang
some songs that were grown up humor, because I did not think that most of it was funny. Then
Laura Story came up and sang and talked about her songs. After that there was a break, and
there were Laura Story and Mandisa t-shirts and CDs that you could buy. My aunt and I went
up the stairs to the area where it all was and I looked around for about a minute and after
deciding between two t-shirts, got a grey Mandisa t-shirt that along with Mandisa’s name says
“My deliverer set me free!” on the top front of it. It also has a white bird, some pink, purple,
blue swirlies, flowers, dots and other designs all over the front of the shirt. And I really like it.
Then we went back to our seats. Then Mandisa came out and sang some songs that made most
everyone feel like moving around. It at least looked like it to me. And when it came to the song
“Good Morning” we (and everyone else there) danced the zumba routine. And Mandisa told
anyone who knew the dance to come to the front of the stage and do it; I knew it, but I did not
think I knew it enough to go up to the front of the stage and do it. But those who did not go
over there did the dance standing up where they were. Then when Mandisa left the stage that
was the end of the concert.
It was late, and when we got home Daddy was the only one still awake. Then we talked
about the concert. It was a really fun birthday! 
