RAMQ ANNOUNCEMENT!
THE MAXIMUM FOR SMOKING CESSATION AIDS/PRODUCTS
HAS BEEN REDUCED FOR THE 2014 CALENDAR YEAR
RAMQ (Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec) has announced a change in their smoking
cessation maximum as follows:
Smoking Cessation Aids Maximum: The maximum administrative equivalent for smoking
cessation aids/products for the calendar year 2014 will be $700.00. This eligible maximum
takes into account current drug therapies. The maximum has been decreased from the 2013
calendar year maximum of $725 because of the reduction in cost for these products.
We will be adjusting our systems to reflect this change effective January 1, 2014.
