If you don’t have a computer at home,
or just fancy a change of scene, libraries
have more than 600 fast and secure
PCs, all free for you to use. Perfect for
accessing job sites, keeping up to
date with welfare reform changes,
doing online shopping and chatting
with friends, you’ll find free PC hubs in
every library.

All Glasgow libraries and community
centres now offer fast, free public Wi-Fi.
Simply drop in and ask a member of staff,
or one of our new Digi-PALS, to help you

YOUNG PEOPLE
Free activities across the city
Young people are at the heart of Glasgow Life services. There are a fantastic array
of events and activities accessible to young people across the city with the Glasgow
Kidz Card and Young Scot Card. The cards are free and available to children and
young people aged 5-18.
And if you’re wondering how to keep the kids entertained over the school holidays
don’t forget to look out for our Young Glasgow Holiday Programme, packed full of
exciting activities to stop the boredom setting in. There are stacks of exciting, free
activities available right across Glasgow for 5-18 year olds. Check out

We have free football pitch hire 3-5pm
Monday to Friday for cardholders at the
following venues: Barlia, Crownpoint,
Emirates Arena, Glasgow Green,
Nethercraigs, Petershill Park and Scotstoun.
You don’t need 10 players, just a few pals is
enough! To book a pitch up to 7 days in
advance, all you need is at least one Young
Scot or Kidz Card​and under 8’s must be
accompanied by someone aged 16+.

There is an abundance of free museums
in Glasgow with fun events for all the
family. Your little ones will enjoy the
child-friendly interactive exhibits including
a dedicated ‘mini-museum’ for pre-5’s at
Kelvingrove plus the amazing array of

ARTS, MUSIC

There’s a wealth of arts and music
activities across the city for you and your
family to enjoy in our cultural venues and
within our local community centres.
From drop in arts and crafts to festival

Our cultural venues include the Glasgow
Royal Concert Hall, the Old Fruitmarket,
City Halls and Kelvingrove Bandstand –

TRAMWAY
Have you visited Tramway? The south
side arts centre is just next to Pollokshields
East train station and is free to visit. The
venue regularly hosts exhibitions, and has
an ongoing performance and dance
programme. There are lots of
opportunities to take part, including
workshops for all ages, exhibition tours
and family days. Tramway also hosts The
Hidden Gardens, a beautiful and tranquil
space for you and your children to enjoy.

Sport can provide a positive focus in people’s lives and Glasgow Life is committed to
making sport accessible to everyone in Glasgow. We introduce people to sport;
keep them involved in sport; and support those with talent to succeed in sport.
