Fine Art - This class will include fun instruction in drawing and painting techniques as well as cover a little bit
of art history in an interactive and exciting way. Campers will leave with a finished work of art in the medium
of their choice that they are very proud of.
Fiber Art - Campers will do a variety of creative things in this class. They may spin and dye their own yarn be-
fore learning to knit, they may crochet a hat to be envied by all their friends, they may weave a rag rug or hand
dye a silk scarf. We are excited to have professional fiber artists coming to teach the girls these old world skills.
Spot Light - Come one, come all to the Muse Theatre! Our drama class touches on many acting methods and
the girls will work towards putting on a show for a very enthusiastic camper audience that will be filmed for
parents to see.
Stage Crew - There is action behind the scenes, too... Campers will learn how to design and build the set, how
to make props and costumes for the show, and will develop a plan for marketing the final project for opening
night. This class is perfect for girls who love the stage but don’t necessarily want to be on it!
Rosie’s Riveters - Building a bird house, changing a tire, and outdoor adventures are for girls, too... Rosie the
Riveter is the role model for this class and the girls will come home feeling invincible and full of girl power!
Victory Garden - Time spent in the Victory Garden will be fun, relaxing and informative. Campers will help in
every aspect of the garden: they may build a planting bed, till the soil, tend the compost bin, plant seeds, weed
the rows, maintain the drip watering system, and harvest the bounty. They will learn about seasonal eating and
the natural cycle of organic gardening.
In & Out - Campers will discover beauty from the inside out. With their peers, they will discuss relevant girlcentric issues like bullying, body image, and how to support each other in being the best they can be. This will
be done with fun and age appropriate activities, while leaving time for other important things - like nail polish!
Hello Dolly - We will be teaching methods of soft sculpture and basic sewing in this class and campers will
leave with a handmade doll they will treasure forever.
Bounce - This class is for campers who love to bounce from one thing to another! Each day has something new
in store - from canoeing, to volleyball, to archery, to gardening... Your active girl will have the chance to try her
hand at all of it.
CLC Singers - This Glee-ful class is tons of fun and full of music. Campers will work together to arrange
songs with harmonies and solos and will participate in the end of the session show. Videos of the performance
will be filmed for parents to see.
Round Robins - Every day during the session, campers will choose an afternoon class from choices like ar-
chery, weaving, canoeing, volleyball, yoga, gardening, singing, basketball, creative writing, dance... the list goes
on. Girls may choose to do a different Round Robin each day, or may stick with one activity that really holds
her interest.
