school and the children have done a
wonderful job getting used to the

Hello Families,
We hope your children enjoyed their first few weeks of school! The class has been very busy
learning about themselves, new friends and new classrooms! The students sign our attendance book
daily upon arrival, and during classroom meeting the students enjoy spelling their names while
clapping or stomping each letter, counting the calendar and learning the days of the week and
months of the year. Our class sings during the day, both inside and outdoors, and has been known to
form marching bands to accompany our activities. We have enjoyed outdoor time including leaf
collecting and playing “What time is it Mr. Fox?.”
During October we will continue learning the difference between the author and illustrator of
our books. The students will add more thoughts and drawings to their journals, create self expressions
of art, have fun with Fall and end with a Halloween Parade!
