Entering the Beau-Rivage Palace is like entering another world simultaneously the centre of
daily realities - and away from daily worries. A world where the senses have time to deploy their
antennae, at the contact with an environment where everything contributes to dispelling the fog
of the present. Halfway between lake Geneva and mountains that have enchanted the greatest
writers and a city famous for liveliness and gracious living, the Beau-Rivage Palace is close to
and yet deliciously protected from fleeting time.
From the Entrance Hall, a light well with elegant wrought iron roof trusses, the spirit quietly
glides into the Beau-Rivage Palace universe. To the south, through the streamlined space and
design of the SAVOIE LOUNGE, Lake Geneva and its thousand and one moods can be seen
through the four hectare garden. To the West, the central artery of the hotel, a broad and
cordial corridor which leads guests and visitors from Beau-Rivage Palace 1861 to Beau-Rivage
Palace 1908, via the refined cupola of the ROTUNDA and the prestigious SANDOZ SPACE.
Underneath you and, just an elevator ride away, the entrance to a separate world in total
harmony with the philosophy of the Beau-Rivage Palace: the CINQ MONDE SPA, where the word
"wellbeing" rivals with unspoilt views onto the Alps from most bedrooms.
At the beginning of the 20th century, discussions at the Beau-Rivage Palace focused on
rebuilding Europe. Today, its walls – which have not aged but enshrine the rich traces of these
historic meetings – host the debates of leading edge companies, which enjoy both the efficient,
high tech, seminar rooms and the nobility of luxurious relaxation spaces, where the paintings
by Old Masters and the mouldings of the ceilings are reminders of the wisdom of bygone
years… Our 12 meeting rooms: are all jewel cases personalized for friendly receptions. In the
privacy of our lakeside garden terraces or on board of "Le Montreux" a luxury steam yacht, you

THE “MONTREUX” STEAMBOAT
The “Montreux”, a yacht owned by the “Compagnie Générale de Navigation” (CGN) has been
awarded with the coveted “lieu d’exception” label by the Lausanne civic authorities making it
possible for us to organize your wedding on board
The Beau-Rivage Palace is the exclusive caterer of the “Montreux” for that reason we are at your
service to sort out all the details of your ceremony.
History
The Montreux was launched on March 12, 1904. In 1962 it was then fitted
with a diesel electric engine. In 1998 the boat was completely restored
including new engines and rejoined lake Geneva on May 19, 2001. « Le
Montreux » is the oldest of the CGN’s boats.
Mariage
Le Montreux can be reserved for cocktail parties and banquets.
To help you organize your event a visit can be made so don’t hesitate to
contact us to book an appointment.
However, during the months of July and August, Le Montreux sails on public
cruises every evening so, if you would like to charter the boat for a private
event, the cruise route and starting place can be modified to your needs
although the home port is Lausanne.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
NUMBER OF GUESTS
A confirmation of the exact number of guests has to be given at least 15 days before the event.
A variation of 5% is permitted up to 48 hours before the event. Cancellations of over 5% of the
guests will be invoiced at a full rate.
If the number of guests increases, the hotel will try to cater for everyone. However, we can no longer
guarantee that all guests will be hosted in optimum comfort conditions.
ROOM AVAILABILITY
The Beau-Rivage Palace reserves the right to change the attribution of the rooms depending on the
final number of guests.
Le Beau-Rivage Palace reserves the right to invoice an additional rental rate if there are fewer than 80
guests for the wedding feast in the Sandoz or Rotonde rooms.
The Beau-Rivage Palace is not responsible for goods brought into the hotel for events. The
banqueting rooms have to be let in perfect conditions otherwise any damages caused by the
organizer or the guests will be fully charged.
The Beau-Rivage Palace reserves the right to host several wedding receptions on the same day.
DOWN PAYMENT
To guarantee the booking for an event, the hotel requires partial or total payment in advance. The
reservation will be regarded as final once the down payments have been received by the hotel.
The event prepayment schedule is as follows:
- When the agreement is signed:
60% of the estimated total amount
(including a non-refundable 20%)
- 90 days before the event:
40% of the estimated total amount
SERVICE HOURS - OVERTIME
Events must finish at 4.00am.
Music must stop at 3.30am.
Our wedding programme schemes include service until 2.00am. From then onwards, a supplement
of CHF 500 for each hour will be invoiced.
For an "à la carte" event the supplement of CHF 500 per hour is applicable from 1.00am.
CANCELLATION
In the event of partial or total cancellation, expenses will be invoiced as follows:
- 180 days before the event:
50% of the estimated total amount
- 120 days before the event:
100% of the estimated total amount

RATES
Our rates are in Swiss Francs (CHF), valid for the current year and include VAT, tax and service.
Rates in Euros (€) are indicative and vary with the rate of exchange.
INVOICING & PAYMENT
Invoices are payable at 10 days. After this time the Beau-Rivage Palace has the right to invoice
interest at the rate of 5% per annum.
CLOAKROOM
Our wedding programmes include the cloakroom service.
For an "à la carte" event we can make a manned cloakroom available for CHF 45.- per hour and per
person (1 hostess for 150 customers).
The Beau-Rivage Palace declines liability for theft or damage if this service is not used
PARKING
The Beau-Rivage Palace has unsupervised parking for 140 cars. The hotel does not take responsibility
in case of theft or damage to vehicles or goods. Special parking rates are available for guests
attending the event.
NOISE
The Beau-Rivage Palace must be informed of all the noisy events (for example music or shows).
TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT
The Beau-Rivage Palace can organise technical equipment rentals from the Dorier company which
will give you a budget within 48 hours for all that it’s needed. Ask our Groups & Events service for
more details.
Any technical material brought by you or any extra service used has to be declared to our Groups &
Events service in advance.
All equipment supplied must comply with the law and respect the standards and practices in force.
MUSIC & ANIMATIONS
We supply a wide range of magicians, orchestras, cabarets, theme cabarets to enliven your event.
On request, we supply artists with a meal including a main course and a dessert
for CHF 55.- per guest.
The meals of the artists taken in one of our restaurants will be added to the general invoice.
Le Beau-Rivage Palace will obtain the administrative authorisations from the Police du Commerce
for the music (DJ, concert, etc.) The amount of this tax will also be added to the final invoice.
SEATING PLAN AND PLACE CARDS
We must receive the guest list, the seating plan and the table names at least 2 weeks before the event.

MENU
The menu must be confirmed at least 30 days before the event.
FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS
Floral decoration used for the tables are included in our wedding programmes.
If you want any other arrangements, our professional florist is at your full disposal.
RITUAL KOSHER SLAUGHTER
The expenses controlling the preparation of food by a member of the Jewish community is invoiced
to us by the Rabbinate of Lausanne at CHF 250.- for up to 20 guests and CHF 500.- plus CHF 1.per guest for 20 guests and over. Consequently, we will re-bill the amount for the services of the
Rabbi separately and take no margin.
USE OF THE BEAU-RIVAGE PALACE NAME AND LOGO
A request to use the Beau-Rivage Palace name and logo must be made in writing and in advance.
Any document and/or poster mentioning the name and/or logo of the Beau-Rivage Palace must be
approved by the management.
SAFETY & SECURITY
The Beau-Rivage Palace reserves the right to require the use of a certified company for the
obligations of the concordat dated 18.10.96 depending on the type of event. This service will be paid
for by the organizer.
The hotel accepts dogs on a lead and under the full responsibility of their owner.
LIABILITIES & INSURANCES FOR GOODS AND PEOPLE
The Beau-Rivage Palace declines any responsibilty for theft or damage to goods or property. The
organizers are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, any additional employees or their
guests. The Beau-Rivage Palace reserves the right to require to the organizer to have an insurance
adapted to the event.
APPROVAL AND SIGNATURE
The general conditions are integral part of the agreement given to the customer for approval and
signature.
The event agreement as well as the general conditions must be sent to us dated and signed at the
latest 15 days after the confirmation of the event.
The Tribunal in Lausanne, Switzerland, has sole jurisdiction for this agreement.
