Week 38 - Thriving Family



After-School Snack
Gather
 1 tube refrigerated
crescent rolls (8 total)
 8 thin ham slices
 8 Swiss cheese slices
Play: See who can answer the most questions correctly: What’s two plus
eight? What two colors are mixed to create purple? Who built the ark?
Where is our nation’s capital? How many sides does an octagon have?
Go
 O
pen dough and lay
out triangles on baking
sheet.
Talk: Answering those questions didn’t take wisdom. Those answers are
things you learned or memorized. Wisdom is different from knowledge.
Knowledge requires studying, but true wisdom is knowing the right
thing to do in a difficult situation. The Bible tells us that wisdom comes
from heaven. God is happy to grant us wisdom. James 1:5 says we only
have to ask, and God will give us the wisdom we need. What decisions
can you ask God to help you make today?
