DON’T MAKE A GIFT: Don’t make a gift to Gettysburg College! (you probably never thought you’d hear that, did you...?). At least, don’t do so over the next few days. If you just wait until next week, your gift can have an even more significant impact than usual! Here’s why: The “Trustee 360 Challenge” will be held during the 36-hour period from 10 a.m. EST on Thursday, Feb. 6 through 10 p.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 7. During that timeframe, the Board of Trustees (which will be meeting on campus those days) will TRIPLE all gifts and pledges made to the College, up to a total of $300,000. Additionally, if 60 people sign up for recurring giving (automatic credit card or bank transfer gifts made at regular intervals with the amount and timing of your choice), the Board will contribute an additional $60,000, bringing the total to $360,000 in 36 hours. Make your gift or pledge online during the Challenge, or by calling 800-238-5528. You also will have the opportunity to talk to some of your favorite campus personalities, such as Coach Carol Cantele ’83, “Servo Sue” Noel, Professor Ken Mott P’07, and many more, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. EST on both days. Check the Challenge webpage for a complete listing of campus “celebrities,” phone numbers, and schedule. Everyone’s pitching in! Keep an eye on social media and the website for additional info next week and for up-to-the-minute progress during the Challenge!
