Last Semesters Schedule
1. Open PowerPoint.
Click on the PowerPoint icon on the Task Bar. When the
program opens this is what you will see:
1) Outline / Slides pane
2) View buttons
3) Slide pane
4) Notes pane
5) Task pane
2. Choose a design for your presentation
Click on the Design button
on the toolbar. Choose a design
template from the task pane (on the left side of the window).
3. Adding text to your first slide.
Click in the “Click to add title” box and type “Last Semesters Schedule”, in
the “add subtitle” box type Your Name and period in it.
4. Adding slides and selecting the layout.
To add another slide to your presentation, click on the New Slide button on
the toolbar.
A new slide will appear with the “title and text”
layout.
To change the layout of the slide, select the layout that you want from the list
in the task pane. Select the “Title and 2-column text” layout from the list.
In the first column put your schedule for periods 1-3, in the second
column put your schedule for periods 4-6.

5. Adding more slides using the Outline view.
Click on the Outline tab at the top of the slide / outline pane. To add a new slide,
click at the end of the text in the outline. Press enter (another bullet item
will appear) now press SHIFT + TAB. This will move the courser out one
level and create another slide with the “Title and Text” layout. Type
“Period 1” for the title, and for the text, put the class name. For the sub
points, list two things that you learned in the class. Now add slides for the
rest of your classes. Remember to list things that you learned in each class.
6. Add a summary at the end
Add one more slide to the end of your presentation that has a summary of
the semester.
7. Showing your Presentation
a. Click on the Slide Show button from the toolbar in the bottom left corner of the screen. To
advance to the next slide either press enter, or click the mouse button. At the end of the show
you will return to the presentation window or you can
press ESC at any time.
5. Printing your presentation:
a) - Click File, then Print, examine the options that you have.
b) - Under Print what...
choose Handouts
with 9 slides per page.
