Lisa Darmanin will join her cousin, Jason Waterhouse, in the Nacra

Lisa Darmanin will join her cousin, Jason Waterhouse, in
the Nacra 17 mixed multi-hull at the Rio 2016 Olympic
Games.
The pair have been sailing together for eight years,
having first won international gold together in 2009 at the
ISAF Youth Worlds in Buzios, Brazil.
They both grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and
currently train at Middle Harbour Yacht Club.

2015 was a successful year for Darmanin and
Waterhouse, winning both the Rio Test Event and the
Sailing World Cup - Weymouth and Portland. They also
finished second at the World Championship in Denmark
in July. In January 2016 they won silver at the Sailing
World Cup Miami.
Darmanin was named Yachting Australia’s Female Sailor
of the Year in 2015.
Waterhouse and Darmanin are coached by 1996
Olympic Silver Medallist, Andrew Landenberger.
