Tuite: Presidents Letter—November 2016
November is all about giving
thanks. We are thankful that
the stores no longer have
Halloween candy for us to
buy ‘for the kids!’ We are especially grateful when we get
to see the sunshine!! ThanksPamela Tuite giving is my most favorite
Chamber President holiday of the year. The focus is on good friends and
family; sharing a lovely meal and spending time together without any other expectations.
This year I am especially grateful for my
community. I have rounded out my sixth
year as a financial advisor here in Washougal. I am thankful for all the support I
have received and mostly for all the community connections that I have been able
to build over the last six years. I am delighted that I am a resource for so many
families and businesses right here in
town!
Another tradition that often kicks in in
November is the tradition of giving. There
are many wonderful organizations that
support families, right here in Camas and
Washougal, who may need some assistance. If you would like to learn more
about some of these local charities and
how to get involved, please reach out to
me.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all at
the luncheon on November 17th at Camas
Meadows!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

January editions, as well as publicity on
our website and at the event in the programs. Baskets need to be a minimum
retail value of $100 each. If you would
like to donate a basket to the event

fundraising drive
The Camas-Washougal
Community Chest launched
its annual fundraising drive
October 1st, with the goal of
raising $75,000 for the 2017
campaign. The money raised

non-profit organizations
which serve local residents in
need, runaway youth
programs, and address natural

education. Since 1946 the
Community Chest has been
all about local people helping
local people.
