SUBJECT: 3 MILES FOR FREE SMILES - 5K RUN
Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care would like to request your sponsorship and patronage to the 1st Annual 3Miles for
FREE Smiles -5K Run to be held Saturday, October 8, 2016. This race will be a fundraising event to help bring awareness and
financial support to children born with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. These birth defects result in feeding, hearing, and
speech problems. 2 out of every 1000 births result in the need for this type of life changing surgery.
The funds raised will go to our LOCAL LSU Foundation. G.E. Ghali, DDS, MD, FACS, one of the local Oral & Maxillofacial
surgeon & interim Chancellor at LSU Medical School, has had the rewarding opportunity of repairing cleft lips & cleft palates
around the world. We are blessed to have him right here in Shreveport, LA helping heal our community. His talented team
along with other local surgeons in the area will be able to utilize these funds at our neighboring hospitals like, University Health,
Willis-Knighton Health System, Christus Schumpert-Highland Hospital, & Shriner’s Hospital to conduct these life-changing
surgeries for the children of our community.
Please join us with the help of Sportspectrum Race Management to raise awareness and financial support for children of all
ages that suffer from cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. You can help make a difference in a child’s life.

PLATINUM - Up to $500
BRONZE- Up to $100
