Screen Protector
Installation Instructions
I N S T R U C T I O N S
Your computer is designed to provide you with years of
service. Using a screen protector will help ensure that the
screen remains as clear as possible. When installed, the
screen protector becomes a durable, replaceable writing
surface that protects the display screen from abrasion.
DURING NORMAL USE OF YOUR SYSTEM, SMALL
PARTICLES FROM THE ENVIRONMENT CAN BECOME
EMBEDDED IN THE PEN TIP AND SCRATCH THE
SCREEN. TO PREVENT SCRATCHING THE SCREEN,
ENSURE THAT A SCREEN PROTECTOR IS INSTALLED
BEFORE USING YOUR COMPUTER.
THE WARRANTY
DOES NOT COVER A SCRATCHED SCREEN.
SCREEN PROTECTOR INSTALLATION
NOTE: The system shown in this manual is for illustration
purposes; your system may look different from that shown.
Preparation/Removal
To remove and/or prepare a new screen protector on your
display:
1. If a screen protector is already installed on the display,
remove it before installing the new screen protector.

2. To ensure good adhesion, clean the display screen with a
soft cloth such as the micro-fiber cloth that came with your
system or a soft cotton cloth.
Installation
The screen protector has removable protective sheets on the
front and the back. The front of the protective sheet has a red
pull tab extending from it, while the back protective sheet does
not. The back of the screen protector has a strip of adhesive
running around the perimeter with which it is held onto the
display screen surface.
1.
IMPORTANT: This screen protector has been designed
for use with more than one model of Fujitsu computers.
On some models, the screen protector will fit close to the
window bezel on all four sides. On other models, however,
there will be a gap of 3.5 mm to 4 mm between the screen
protector and the bezel.
To ensure that you properly position the screen protector,
lay it atop the display before you remove the protective
backing. Position it in the center of the display symmetrically, with equal left/right gaps and top/bottom gaps.
When positioning the screen protector in the following
steps, be sure that you maintain the equal gaps.
2.
2
First remove the protective sheet from the back adhesive
side of the screen protector, as shown in Figure 1. A notch
in one corner of the screen protector allows you to slide
your fingernail or a credit card under the back protective
sheet for easy removal. Do not use a metal implement; it
could scratch the screen or the screen protector. This is the
side that will be applied to the screen.

3. Apply the screen protector to the display screen surface
starting in the upper right corner. When doing so, orient the
screen protector with the adhesive side of the screen
protector facing the display screen and the notched corner of
the screen protector oriented as shown in Figure 2
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE LOWER LEFT EDGE OF
THE SCREEN PROTECTOR IS NOT TOUCHING THE DISPLAY
BEZEL.
DOING SO CAN APPLY UNDUE PRESSURE TO THE
[START] ICON WHEN THE COVER IS CLOSED, RESULTING
IN ERRATIC OPERATION.
4. Apply pressure to the screen protector with your finger
using continuous pressure along the edges. Allow 48 hours
for the adhesive to set completely. To ensure a good seal
between the screen protector and the display, do not lift the
screen protector from the display once it has been applied.

5. Remove the protective plastic film from the face of the
screen protector by lifting it at the red tab, as shown in
Figure 3. Failure to do so will result in a “cloudy”
appearance to the screen.
