Dear 4-H Family:
I love the month of November. Don’t you agree that people seem happier as look forward to the
holidays? As you plan your holiday season, don’t forget about Christmas Parades and other
events where you can get together with your 4-H friends and start looking forward to a new 4-H
year.
Here are some 2017 dates to put on your calendars now:
January 27 – 4-H Overnighter at the Milsop
February 11 – Winter Carnival at JVS
March 4 – Iron Chef Clinic – this year’s ingredient…a stick…yes…you read correctly, this year’s
Iron Chef theme is “food on a stick”.
March 5-11th – 4-H Week – Window Decorating
March 11 - Volunteer/Teen Conference
The 2017 4-H Theme is “4-H…Freestyle”. Each club can choose it own theme. What does your
club want to say to the world about 4-H?

Happy Hooves & Fancy Feathers 4-H Club is selling 4-H t-shirts and
sweatshirts for $15-$25. There are 2 choices for shirt design: “4-H is
About More than Ribbons & Trophies…it’s About Experiences” or
“Without Hard Work, Nothing Grows But Weeds”. If you would like to

Take the Ohio Youth Capital Challenge!!!
Are you a 4-H member in high school? Would you like to know more
about being heard in government and making a difference? If the
answer is YES, call the office and learn more about this leadership
opportunity which is held in 3 phases…1.) Event in Downtown
Columbus and the Capital (March) 2.) Teamwork in local community in
April & May and 3.) In competitions throughout the summer during
June and July. Call Janine if you are interested.
