Clay Day Create your own 3-D wintery sculpture using clay and a variety of clay tools.
Add decorative features to your piece using sequins, jewels, and markers. Children of all
ages plus a parent/caregiver are welcome. Members $8/Non-Members $10.
Giant Gingerbread People Decorate your very own giant gingerbread person in
Rockin’ Reindeers! Hear a holiday story and make a Rudolph hat. Create a
colorful God’s Eyes (Ojos de Dios). Make a Happy Holidays Bracelet and Sparkly
Gooey Slime to take home! K-2nd graders plus a parent/caregiver are welcome.

Reservation Programs
Rudolph Rules! Hear a holiday story and make a Rudolph hat. Create a craft stick
development . Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one on one parent/child
playtime with brain-based learning toys and books. The program is also designed to
teach parents about the importance of a child’s early experiences to the wiring of his or
her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. Parent/Caregiver
is required to attend with child.
Rudolph decoration! Make Sparkly Gooey Slime to take home! Childrens ages 3- 5
years old plus a parent/caregiver are welcome. Members $10/Non-Members $12.
Gingerbread House Your family can join us to create your own gingerbread house
Snow Princess Necklaces Your little one will enjoy making their very own snow
princess necklaces, inspired by the chilly white and blue color-scheme of the season. All
materials will be provided to create a necklace. Members $6/Non-Members $8.

Happy Noon Year Celebration! Join our special celebration to ring in the new
year! Make your own new year's hat, a very special noisemaker, and a Chinese lantern
before ringing in the new year at noon! To ring in the new year, we will also provide
sparkling cider, fun music for dancing on our dance floor, and even a balloon drop! You
will not want to miss this celebration! Members $8/Non-Members $10.
Holidays Little Rhythms (Ages 6mos-3yrs) A fun-filled music class where
you can bond with your child as you play, sing, dance and giggle together! Your child will
learn and grow through activites that stimulate brain growth, enhance social development,
and build motor skills. Through a variety of styles your child will explore melodies, beats
and rhythms. This month, make your own holiday shaker to take home with you!

Holiday Zumba Kids Jr. Join us for our Holiday Edition of Zumba® Kids Jr.,
perfect for kids 4-7 years-old to get a chance to socialize with friends and jam out to their
favorite holiday music. Packed with kid-friendly routines, games and dancing.

Jump stART Jump stART your visit to the Museum with a special early morning
session in the Art Studio. Includes an exclusive, fun-filled art project and castle painting
plus two professional art educators will facilitate the session providing specialized
instruction and guidance. Children of all ages plus a parent/caregiver are welcome.

King/Queen of the Castle Come to the Art Studio to be crowned as king or
queen of the castle for the day! Be the first to paint the castle, make a special crown, pose
in a robe and hold a scepter while your photo is taken for display in the Museum. All
ages welcome! 1 child per day for King/Queen: $25. Friends and family members can
participate as part of the court for $5 per child: register at the Museum.

Junior League of Phoenix Presents: Arctic Animals
Join the Junior League of Phoenix R.O.C.K.E.T.S. program as we learn about animals
of the Arctic in this interactive program!
Noisemakers Get ready for New Year’s Even by making these colorful noisemakers
to celebrate the new year!
Phoenix Children’s Hospital Presents: My Plate There are five major
components that make up a proper meal plate: fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains and
dairy. This lesson covers how to build a healthy plate and why it is important. There will
be interactive activities and an art project that will help kids remember what their plates
should look like.
Pine Needle Paintbrushes Visitors will enjoy using pine needles as a painting
tool to create artistic masterpieces in this creative program!
Snowball Launcher We don’t have much snow in Arizona, but that doesn’t mean
you can’t make your own snowball launcher! In this case, the snowballs are actually
cotton balls and the launcher is a cup covered with a balloon. With this launcher, you
will enjoy the kindest and gentlest “snowball” fight you’ve ever been in!
Snow Globes Enjoy this fun, wintery craft as you use a variety of craft materials to

Ornament Palooza Come make some festive holiday ornaments in this
creativity-filled program! Make your own photo ornament as well as a ball ornament.

Brain Time: This program emphasizes simple but critical messages about early brain
Brain Time for Babies (Children birth to 18 months) Join us this
month as we explore songs! Your little one will enjoy a variety of activities
focused on recognizing and matching colors!
Brain Time for Toddlers (Children 18 months to 3 years) We will
focus on nursery rhymes this month! Instruments and some props will be
provided to enhance your child’s understanding of the nursery rhymes!
Brain Time for Preschoolers (Children 3-5 years) Bang, clang, ring
will be the sounds you hear this month as we explore the world of musical
instruments! Encouraging a “Language of Learning” One of Southwest Human
Development’s literacy experts will teach parents how to explore books on different
literacy levels so that they are able to make age appropriate book selections for their
children. Parents will also learn to adapt a book for their child’s developmental level,
and understand age appropriate book behavior. This workshop is designed for children
ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing,

Math Before You Can Add...Or Even Count! Think your child is too young
for math? Come experience the joy of math with your child through hands-on projects,
and learn more tools that you can implement at home. There are two classes offered
birth-age 2 and ages 3-5yrs. Admission into the program is free with paid Museum

Music Together DEMO Come experience how fun and educational it can be to
make music with your child! We will be shaking eggs, tapping toes, singing and dancing
along in a setting that is developmentally appropriate and pure fun for children, infants
through age 5, and the adults who love them. Come experience the joy of family music!
