Vocabulary Words 3 Week of: 9/2 to 9/6, 2013 Math Classes Quiz on Friday, 9/6/13 These words will be discussed in class on Monday. Please study these words during the week as your homework. On Friday, there will be a quiz over them. (11 words) Acute angle- a angle between 0 and 90 degrees. Right angle- a angle that is 90 degrees. Obtuse angle- a angle that is between 90 and 180 degrees. Straight angle- a angle that is 180 degrees. Congruent angles- angles that have the same measure. Adjacent angles- two coplanar angles with a common side, a common vertex, and no common interior points. Vertical angles- two angles whose sides are opposite rays. Complimentary angles- two angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees. Supplementary angles- two angles whose measures have a sum of 180 degrees. Linear pair- a pair of adjacent angles whose noncommon sides are opposite rays. Angle bisector- a ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles.
