REGISTER
On Wilby.tv, a child must always be accompanied by a parent (Main Supporter).
REGISTER ON WILBY.TV: 2 possible scenarios.
A. PARENT first registered and then create the child's profile
B. CHILD is first registered, automatically creating an PARENT (Main Supporter) account.
PARENT WHO IS REGISTERED FIRST (MAIN SUPPORTER)
The ideal subscription process proposes that the parent signs up first, as a 'Parent' member (13 and over). The parent
can then add one or more children on his own, from its Network page by clicking on 'Add a child'.
1. From the Wilby.tv home page, click 'Sign up!'.

2. In the window that appears, click 'Parent Registration'.
3. Fill in the form and click 'Register'. Or, if you wish, you can sign up using your Facebook account by clicking the
link provided.
4. An email will be sent to you confirming your registration and telling you your login information (username and
password).
5. Now you are registered as a 'Parent member'. To log into your account, go to the Wilby.tv homepage Wilby.tv
and enter your login information.

ADD A CHILD TO YOUR PARENT ACCOUNT (MAIN SUPPORTER)
1. If your child does not have an 'Child account' yet, you must create it. Go to your Network page and click on 'Add
a child.' If your child already has an account on Wilby.tv, click on 'Add Child' and go to step 3 below.
2. The form that appears allows you to create your child's profile. Select 'I want to create an account for my child'
and complete the form.

CHILD REGISTRATION (CHILD WHO REGISTERED ITSELF FIRST)
One child 12 and under can register only one of all, as a member of the Child ', but he must indicates the email address
of a parent early in the registration process. When a child registered itself alone a 'Parent' (main Supporter) profile is
automatically created and a message is sent to the email address provided by the child so the parent can be easily
join him on Wilby.tv. The parent acts as the child's supporter and its presence is necessary in the execution of paid
membership process and online gift order.
1. Go to the Wilby.tv home page and click 'Sign up!'.
2. In the window that appears, write the email of a parent. Very important to indicate a real email of your parent.
Then click on 'Register'.

3. Choose your username and your password. Select your gender and specify your birth date. Then click on
'Register'.
4. You then have the option to specify the username of the person who invited you to join Wily.tv. You can skip this
step if you do not know the person's username, you will have the occasion to point out again within the site, in
the 'Recruitment Zone' section.
5. You are now registered as a 'Child member', and directed to your Profile page to begin your adventure on
Wilby.tv. Your parent received your username and your password by email. That same email invites him to join
you on Wilby.tv.

BECOME A SECONDARY SUPPORTER (PARENT, 13+) OF A CHILD
To become a Secondary Supporter of a child, you must be registered as a Parent (13+) first.
1. If you wish to become Secondary Supporter of a child who already has an account, go to your Network page and
click 'Add Child'.
2. The form that appears allows you to associate an existing child account to yours, so you can become secondary
Supporter of the child. Select 'I want to become secondary Supporter of a child who has a profile already', and
complete the form.

MY PROFILE
PERSONAL INFORMATIONS
Each member has the freedom to specify the personal information he wishes to display (gender, age, city, school). Those
information can be entered upon registration, or be edited in the window 'My Settings' available on the Profile page.
1. Go to your profile page and click on 'My Settings'.

2. Inside the window 'My settings', you can indicate, correct or update the personal information that you wish to
display on your profile. If you want your school friends find you more easily, indicate the name of your school.
MODIFY YOUR AVATAR
From the Profile page, you just have to click on the avatar image to open the avatar maker module, which allows you to
modify the look of your character.
1. Go to your Profile page and click on the image of your character.

2. Through the avatar maker, you can customize your avatar to your taste, as often as you wish.
APPEARANCE
The appearance allows you to customize the color of your skin, your hair and the expression of your avatar.
CLOTHES
Choose the clothes and the colors you desire for your avatar.

ACCESSORIES
Several types of accessories can be added to your avatar, in the color of your choice.
BACKGROUND
You can choose an image in the background, or select a background color.

MODIFY YOUR MOOD
The mood of the user is also displayed on the Profile page. Click on the mood to open the window that allows you to
change your mood.
1. From your Profile page, click on mood under your avatar.
2. Inside the window that opens, you will find a series of emoticons on the left and suggestion moods or states on
the right. Make your selections and click OK to update your mood.

POINTS AND WILBY COINS
The number of points earned and the number of accumulated Wilby coins are displayed on the Profile page. The more
you earn points, the more your Wilby coins number increases.
Every 2,500 points gives one Wilby coin.
The Wilby coins are used to order gifts.
Almost every action performed on the site allows members to earn points (connect, play games, avatar and change their
mood, publish status and comment activity on the network, add friends, etc).
When playing a game on the site, a fraction of points earned is transferred to the grand total shown on the member's
profile.
CODE ZONE
Each member has an Code Zone on the Profile page. This area is used to enter the answers to riddles launched by Wilby.
By indicating the correct answer, the member earns points.

This same code zone can be used to enter a promotional code that provides various benefits to the site, as a privilege
membership for a limited period. Promotional codes are distributed at different times on the website or in promotional
activities carried out in the field.
GIFT ORDER
At the bottom of the Profile page, we find the gift shop, where a privilege member (who paid a membership) can use its
Wilby coins harvested to order the gift of its choice.
When a privilege member order a gift, an email is sent to the parent to confirm the process and indicate the delivery
address.
1. Go to your Profile page and down a little further. You will find the Gift shop.

2. The cost of each gift is shown in 'Wilby coins'. The member must have enough Wilby coins and be a privilege
member to order a gift. To advance in the order process, simply click the 'Order' button associated with the
desired item.
3. A new window appears. To confirm the order of the gift and send the request to parent, the Child member must
click 'Order'.
4. Following this last action, if the child has enough parts to order Wilby gift, the parent receives an email with the
details of the order. The received message asks to confirm the order, indicate the delivery address and, if
necessary, the color and details of the ordered item.

FRIENDSHIPS
THE FRIENDSHIPS ON WILBY.TV
There are two possible statuses friendships on Wilby.tv: Friendship base and private friendship.
 The basic friendship can communicate only through predefined messages faster.
 The private friendship can communicate by free text.
A 'Child member' (12 and under) can't be friend with a 'Parent member ' (13+), unless he is related to the child.
SEARCH FRIENDS
In the Network page of each member, there is a search engine that allows users to find friends on the site. Search filters
as the user name, city and school are available to enhance the process.
1. Just go to your Network page and click on the friends search engine, on the right, a little further down the page.

2. Within the search engine, you find different fields that allow you to specify your search. So you can search for
friends by the username they use, the city they live in, the school they attend, (...)
FRIENDS SUGGESTION
In the Network page of each member, a friends suggestion module provides possible friendships for the member.
1. Go to your Network page. On the right, a little further down, you will find suggestions of members with whom
you might be interested to become friends on the site. These suggestions are based on the criteria you have in
common, such as schools, area, country and age.

ADD FRIENDS
To add a friend to its network of contacts, simply visit the Profile of another member and click on 'Add as Friend'. A
friend request is sent to the member and if he accepts it, the basic friendly relationship can begin.
1. Visit the Profile of a member and click on 'Add as Friend'.
ADD FRIENDS TO YOUR PRIVATE CIRCLE
If a member wants to communicate in free text with a friend on the site, he must add him to its Private Circle, to
establish a private friendship.
For security issues, as free text communication will be possible for this type of friendship, add private friends if you know
the person already.
Each member has its own private friendship code shown in their 'My private circle' page.

The member just have to transmit its Private friendship code to a friend and the latter enter it in the field available on its
'My private circle' page. Automatically, the two people appear in the private circle of each other and can then
communicate in free text.
1. Go to your Network page, click on 'My private circle', located in the sub-menu of the green band.
2. Enter the private friendship code of the friend you wish to add to your private circle and click on 'Add to private
circle'.
3. Immediately, this new friend is part of your Private circle. So now you'll be able to communicate with this private
friend using free text.
MY NETWORK
PUBLISH A FREE STATUS
From the Network page, a member may publish a free status using the module available at the top of the wall. The
member can also attach an image to its publication.

Each free status must be approved by the Wilby.tv moderators before being published on the site. Any content
deemed offensive or inappropriate will not be permitted.
1. Go to your Network page and click on 'What are you thinking of?'.
2. Write your free message. Then, select if you desire that your message is displayed to all your friends (public) or
only your private friends (private). Publish your message by clicking on 'Publish'.

ADD AN IMAGE TO YOUR FREE STATUS
A member can attach an image to its free status from the free edition status module. The image weight must not exceed
2 MB.
1. Click 'Add Image', then the link allowing you to upload an image.
2. Select the image you wish to add from your computer.

COMMENT AN ACTIVITY
From the Network page, members can comment on the activities of their choice using predefined quick phrases or
editing their own free comment.
Free comments must be approved by the Wilby.tv moderators before being published on the site. Any content
deemed offensive or inappropriate will not be permitted.
1. Go to your page 'Network' and under each activity listed on your wall, you will find the field 'Comment'. Click in
the text area to write your comment. A maximum of 120 characters is allowed per comment. If you prefer to use
a predefined quick phrase, go to step 2.

2. If you prefer to use a predefined quick phrase, click on the button 'quick sentences' to access the available
choices.
3. Before publishing, indicate who will read your comment. Chose 'Private' if you wish that your comment will be
visible for your private friends only. Choose 'Public' if you wish that your comment can be read by all your
friends.
4. Then click 'Publish'.
5. Every comment written in free text must be approved by the moderators before being published on the site. The
maximum approval time is 24 hours.

MY PRIVATE CIRCLE
If a member wants to communicate in free text with a friend on the site, he must add him to its Private Circle, to
establish a private friendship.
For security issues, as free text communication will be possible for this type of friendship, add private friends if you know
the person already.

RECRUITING ZONE
Accessible via the Network page, the recruitment zone allows a member to indicate the username of the person who
made him join Wilby.tv.
The best 'recruiters' have a chance to earn major awards at the draws made during the year.

1. Just go to your page 'Network' and click on 'Recruiting Zone' in the green band of the submenu.
2. On reaching the 'Recruiting zone' for the first time, a window allowing you to specify which member invited you
to join Wilby.tv appears (if you did not indicated it at registration). Enter the username of the member who
invited you on Wilby.tv and click 'Ok'.
3. The 'Recruiting Zone' displays the best Wilby.tv recruiters. An overall ranking as well as a monthly ranking are
presented.

4. Further down this page, you can see the prizes offered to the best recruiters. A draw for three months, and a big
draw for six months.
5. At the bottom, you find your recruitment statistics. The list of members you have recruited and the number of
points accumulated through these recruitments are displayed.

VIDÉOS
Accessible via the Network page, the Videos directory offers entertaining, inspiring and educational videos for children.
In order to control the content, only Wilby can post videos on the site.
MESSAGING
The Messaging allows members to send a message to a friend. If a private friendship between two members exist, they
can communicate using the free text. Otherwise, only the use of predefined quick messages is available to communicate.
A 'Parent' member (13+) can not communicate with a child in any way, unless the parent acts as a supporter of the
child.
INBOX
1. Go to your Messaging page by clicking on the 'Messaging' button in the main menu. You enter directly into your
inbox. At the top, you see how many new messages you have received (number of messages you have not read
yet). You can directly delete a message by clicking on the delete icon on the right. You just have to click the
message to open and read it.

2. To reply to a message, click 'Reply'. If you are a 'private friend' with the person, you can write to him in free text.
3. If you are not 'private friend' with the person, you can only use the predefined quick messages.

SEND A MESSAGE
1. In your messaging, if you want to send a message to a friend, click on 'Send Message' and then select 'to Whom'
you want to write.
2. If you are not 'private friend' with the person, you can only use the predefined quick messages to communicate.

3. If you are a 'private friend', you can use the free text and compose your text in the field provided.
COMMUNICATION WITH WILBY
The Wilby character, who anime the site, regularly sends messages to members using the messaging to reach them
effectively.
All members can send a message to Wilby, but only the privilege members can use the free text.
For a limited time, a member who just registered can write to Wilby using free text.

1. You receive the Wilby messages in your messaging, but also on your Profile page, on the right.
2. You can directly answer to Wilby from your Profile page, by using the free text (if you are new or privilege
member) or using the predefined quick message.
3. You can also respond to Wilby using your messaging. You can answer a Wilby message by clicking your message
or you can send a new message. To send a new message, click 'Send a Message'.

4. Then select Wilby as the recipient, by clicking on 'To Whom?' you want to send a message.

5. If you are not a privilege member, you have to use the predefined 'Quick Messages' to write Wilby. If you are a
privilege member, you can write to Wilby in free text. If you are a new member, you can write to Wilby in free
text, but only for a limited time.

GAMES
All games on Wilby.tv have an educational component that allows children to develop skills. Mathematics, logic,
memory, geography and language learning are main exploited subjects.
A fraction of the points earned in each game session is transferred to the total points of the member on its profile.
WILBY
Wilby is the main character around which the overall concept of Wilby.tv is builted. He animates the site and allows
children to enjoy the presence of a permanent friend. Wilby is a 10 years old boy who is trying to positively influence the
development of youth. He is there to entertain, support, listen and transmit sound and healthy lifestyles.
All members must carefully monitor their messaging to take every opportunity to accumulate points.
Each week, Wilby offers riddles to young members of the site, posts new videos and new listings on his wall.
Wilby regularly launches contests that allow children to demonstrate their commitment, their skills and their interests
while getting the opportunity to collect extra points.

MEMBERSHIP / PRIVILEGE MEMBER
Paid membership provides privilege member status and access to all the features on Wilby.tv.
Details of subscriptions are available on the 'Membership' page, accessible by clicking on the link at the top, right of the
page.
Free members can use all the features of the network and the games, but they are limited to using predefined phrases
for publishing on the wall of activities, sending messages to their friends and to Wilby. They can't share photos. The free
member can earn points and Wilby coins but can't use them to order gifts.
The paid membership allows members to communicate freely with their friends, to publish free text and photos on the
wall of activities. All communications and shared free content are supervised and monitored by our team of experts to
ensure child safety and proper use of the social network. In addition, parents receive a weekly report of communications
made by their children and they are alerted by our specialists if there is detection of a potential problem. The paying
member can use its accumulated Wilby coins to order gifts and can communicate freely with the virtual friend Wilby
each day and receive personalized answers.
TIPS AND ADVICES

The best way to accumulate the most points is by playing games! Fraction of points earned in games is
transferred to your total point on your profile.

Regularly monitor your messaging and the communications of Wilby! He offers you activities and contests that
allow you to earn a lot of points and increase your number of Wilby coins!

More you participate on the site, the more you win points! Log in, change your avatar, comment the activities of
your friends, publish free status on your wall, send messages to your friends via your messaging! All this gives
you points and allows you to increase your number of Wilby coins!

Invite friends you already know to register and join you on Wilby.tv! You will have much more fun!

Tell your own private friendship code only to your close friends you trust and with whom you get along well!
Your private friendship code is displayed in your 'My private circle' on your Network.

Print your private friendship cards to hand them to your friends! On your 'My private circle' page of your
Network, you can easily print the cards with your friendship code private free! Give your cards to your friends at
school so they can easily add you to their private circles. Only private friends can communicate with free text on
the site!

To improve your ranking in the Recruiting zone, you have to invite friends to join you on Wilby.tv. They will
indicate you as their recruiter when they will register. You receive 2,000 points for each new member that your
recruit. There are great prizes to be won for the best recruiters!

To become popular on the Network, regularly publish messages and pictures on your activity wall! Your friends
will love to take a look on your wall every day to see what you have published.

If you want to post a video on the site, you can send the video link to Wilby or to 'Support' via the messaging. If
the content of your video meets the network rules and contains no advertising, Wilby will maybe publish it on
the site and all members will view it.

You can write to your friend Wilby as often as you wish. He will respond to each of your messages. Wilby is
always there to listen and give you tips or advice. He's a great friend that you can trust.
