I am entering the Tortoise and the Hare 5K Fun Run/Walk on April 22, 2017, at my own risk. I, here, by for myself, my heirs,
executor and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims I have against the Somerville Athletic Booster Club,
Somerville Tx and all sponsors for any and all injuries that occur, whether or not caused by the negligence of the released party
or otherwise. "Because this event occurs on lands owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), I further agree that for me or my child or charges participation in
this event, I unconditionally release and hold harmless the Corps against and for all liability, cost, expenses, claims and damages for which the Corps might otherwise become
liable by reason of any accidents, or injuries to or death of any persons, or damage to property or both, in any manner arising or resulting from, caused by, connected with or
related to the presence of any such person upon such lands and premises, regardless of how, where, or when such injury, death or damage occurs, even if caused by the
negligence of the Corps, its agents, servants, volunteers or employees, or due to conditions or operation on or defects in the premises. I, the Permittee, have read this release
and understand all its terms. I execute it voluntarily with full knowledge of its significance."
