Students may choose one of the following to complete upon completion of the second book:
1) Write a book report (format is attached)
2) Complete a storyboard (requirements attached)
3) Create a visual such as a Powerpoint presentation, model, shadowbox, or
illustrations from the story
The project is due Friday August 22nd. All students will take an AR test on the book of their
choice as part of their grade.
Checklist for Storyboard

The following information should be included on your tri-fold storyboard:
Title, author, publisher and publication date, main characters, setting, plot summary (a brief
summary, not a retelling of the story), conflict (the problem of the story), solution/resolution,
your opinion of the story

report:

Your full name should be written on upper right corner of
each page. Please number the pages.
 If typed, use your header to place your name and page
number on each page.

Title of the book should be centered on the top of the page.
It is a title so it must be underlined. The author’s name
should be centered under the title of the book.
 If typed, you may italicize and or underline the title.

Report may be written in blue or black ink, using your best
handwriting, no scratch outs. Use margin lines on loose
leaf paper to center your work.
 If typed, use Times or Arial font style in a 12 point size,
with 1 ½ inch margins.
Skip lines—double space if typed.
Write or type only on the front of the paper.
Indent all paragraphs.
Check grammar and spelling errors.




When writing, remember that paragraphs have only one topic. If you
need to start a new paragraph to include the following instructions,
please do so. It is more important for your work to be clear and
concise, that fit the profile.
Include:
All of your paragraphs should have 4-5 sentences. Every word at the
beginning of the sentence/ paragraph should be different. You May
not begin two sentences within the same paragraph with the same
word. Use a Thesaurus if you get stuck



1st paragraph(s): Introductory—Title underlined, author’s
name, setting, main characters’ name, and a brief
description of the characters, and explain the overall
problems of the story.
2nd paragraph(s): Summary—Brief summary of the story
focusing on the main events that happened. Do not retell
the story.
3rd paragraph(s): Opinion—What did you think of the
story? Give examples of why you liked or did not like the
book.
