How do I purchase a particular Ticket?

What if I don’t have exact change?
Let’s say your fare is $1.75 and you
only have a $5 bill. The farebox will
automatically issue you a change card
for $3.25! You may then use that change
card by inserting into the farebox on your
next ride and continue to do so until the
$3.25 is used.

bill slot in any direction.
Good for indicated number of one-way trips
Use anytime, any day, with no expiration.
20-Ride Reduced Fare Ticket $15.00*
44-Ride Commuter Ticket $45.00
*REDUCED FARES available to
seniors (age 60+), veterans, children
(age 5-12), students, or ADA passengers
with proper identification including:
• Dutchess County Senior ID Card
• Current Military ID
• Dutchess County FAVOR Card
• Valid Student ID
• ADA Identification Card
PASS WITH CREDIT ON IT
1. Insert your ticket into the card slot on
the farebox. If you are not sure how
to do it, just ask your driver for help.
2. Once the ticket is inserted into the slot,
the fare will be deducted and your ticket
returned to you with a beeping sound
signaling the fare has been collected.
3. Your remaining balance will be printed
on the ticket and you can continue to
use it until the balance is used up.

MULTI-RIDE TICKETS
NEW CARD
1. Tell the driver what type of ticket you
will be purchasing.
2. Insert money into the farebox as usual,
using the dollar bill and coin slots.
SINGLE RIDE
COIN CUP
Pay your fare with U.S. coins.
Drop coins in coin cup
one coin at a time.
Passengers transferring to or from a City Bus
to a County bus WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS may
request a transfer ticket from a Bus Operator.
Transfer fare is $.30.
Ticket purchases on bus are cash only.
Check or money orders accepted at
14 Commerce Street facility.
Effective 04/30/2017, older printings
of tickets and passes will no longer be
accepted. Please contact Dutchess County
Public Transit regarding an exchange.
