Description of Change:
Integration of the Atmel PCN system with the Microchip PCN
system. As part of the Atmel integration with Microchip, Atmel
will integrate to the current Product/Process Change Notification
(PCN) and End of Life (EOL) Notification system to the
Microchip notification system.
This integration will require that all PCN users who wish to
receive PCN via email to register on microchip.com starting
January 01, 2017. Please complete PCN email registration prior
to February 01, 2017 if you would like to continue to receive
PCN via email. Users who do not register will not receive PCN
via email but may view notifications by visiting the Microchip
Product Change Notification web page (linked below).
To register after January 01, 2017, please open the Product
Change Notification page to begin the registration process. An
FAQ that includes registration details is available on the PCN
page to help with the registration process or contact your local
Microchip sales office for assistance

Step 2: Go to Product Change Notification page
Click ‘Design Support’ then select ‘Product Change Notification’

Step 3: Once you are on the PCN web page, click ‘Register’.

Step 4: You will be directed to the New Registration page. You are then required to completely
fill out all required fields. Once completed, click ‘Save my profile and continue’ to proceed.

After entering your profile data, you will be redirected to the microchip main page. You have return to the PCN
webpage to edit your preferences.

Step 1: Please check the Product Change Notification under select documents field
Step 2: Select an email option
Step 3: Please select your preferences. You may choose from below options.
Option 1: You may select all current and future devices if you wish to receive all PCNs issued by Microchip via email.
Option 2: You may select specific devices if you wish to only receive PCN emails for products you are interested in.

By selecting Option 2: You will be prompted to select devices by selecting product category from the pull down
menu. Scroll through the list of products below and select the ones you are interested in.
If you do not see the products you are interested in please try another grouping. Ensure all products you are
interested in are displayed in the add field to the right of the selection box.

Step 4: Finally please be sure to select submit at the bottom right of the page to save your
preferences.

IntegrationPCN’sbelow).TheAtmelPCNsystemwillbeterminatedafterthetransition
