Marco Adda
Trainer. Theatre pedagogist and educator. Performer and director.
General Profile
Marco is a theatre director, actor trainer and performer, with an extensive background in education, team building and human development. He is an Accredited Trainer by the European Commission. Founder and member of working groups in Europe and Asia, he continually deepens his
knowledge of body, movement, voice and self-expression, particularly as they support discovery,
healing and transformation.
As well, Marco has an important interest in ethology. With a focus on psychology and behaviour in
both human and non-human animals, he has spent considerable time observing wolves, dingoes
and dogs in various contexts and locations around the world. Marco always considers a strong
connection with nature, environment, social inclusion, and human and animal rights. As such, he is
also on the frontline in animal welfare and ecology.
Involved in cinema as an actor and assistant director, Marco has been working with both contemporary theatre companies and drama productions.
Strongly influenced by Asian traditions and culture, he has been collaborating since 1999 with the
Balinese actor-educator Tapa Sudana, from the C.I.C.T. of Peter Brook. Further reflective of his
international presence, Marco has been collaborating with universities in Rome, Paris, Novisad,
Budapest, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne and others. Notably, Marco has been a Mime for Teatro
dell’Opera di Roma and an “actor in residency” at Odin Teatret, Denmark.
Dedicated to research, he integrates neurosciences, psychophysiology and visual arts in all of his
work, whether as a theatre director, actor trainer, drama instructor, educator, human-animal facilitator, or team builder.
Presently based in Asia, Marco travels the world working, teaching and researching in both the
fields of theatre and animal behaviour. Due to his broad spectrum of interests and experiences, he
is actively engaged in a wide range of professional contexts.
