7th Grade Elective Registration Planning Form
2017-18
Please use this form as a planning tool for elective class registration for next year. All 7th grade
students will be placed into the appropriate Math, Language Arts and Science classes based on
the criteria found in the Middle School Course Catalog. They will also be placed into Social
Studies, Health, Tech Ed, Art and PE classes. In addition, 7th grade students need to request 2
other classes to complete their schedule. Please choose one option from each of the two choices
below.
Parents/Guardians: please complete this form with your child and have them return it to
their Advisor/Immersion teacher by Friday, March 10th. Each 7th grade student will be
registering for these elective choices through Skyward, during their Advisory/Immersion period
during the week of March 13th.
Choice #1:
WORLD LANGAUGE ELECTIVE
All students are enrolled in a world language that meets every day for one quarter.
Choose one:
_____Chinese: Introduction (one quarter, everyday)
_____French: Introduction (one quarter, everyday)
_____German: Introduction (one quarter, everyday)
_____Spanish: Introduction (one quarter, everyday)
or, for Language Immersion students only:
_____Immersion Spanish: Culture and Arts (one quarter, everyday)
_____Immersion Chinese: Culture and Arts (one quarter, everyday)
Choice #2:
MUSIC ELECTIVE
Music classes meet every other day, full year, each year of middle school.
Music classes run opposite of a student’s PE class.
Choose one:
_____Band 7
_____Orchestra 7
_____Boys’ Choir 7
_____Girls’ Choir 7
_____Music 7
