NON-PERFECT SQUARE
DECIMALS
For non-perfect sqaures, decimals stay in the same position!
If the decimal has an even number of decimal points, remove
decimals, solve, then replace decimals.
√0.15 = √15 = √9 > √15 > √16 = 3 > 3.9 > 4 = 0.39
If the decimal has an odd number of decimal points, either remove
the decimal and add a zero or estimate from the value given.
Estimate from the value given
√1.5 = √1 > √1.5 > √4 = 1 > 1.2 > 2 = 1.2
Add a zero, estimate, replace decimal
√0.4 = √40 = √36 < √40 < √49 = 6 < 6.3 < 7 = 6.3 = 0.63
