Newsletter 14 Autumn Term 2 2014

Dear Parents and Carers
Years 3 and 4 held their Tudor Fayre last Friday and what a success! The goods they had made sold like
hot cakes and it was wonderful to see so many of their parents and family coming in to school to support
them. On Monday they have their Tudor Banquet workshop and I know they are all looking forward to
an exciting end to their Learning Journey.
The Foundation and Key Stage 1 Nativity presentations took place this week. The children were delightful
and had worked so hard preparing for their performances. Next Tuesday it is the turn for Key Stage 2 to
have their Carol Concert at St Michael’s Church at 1.30pm. We look forward to welcoming their
parents/carers to the church on Tuesday.
We will be collecting for the Stroke Association again after the Carol Concert and will let you know next
week how much money has been raised for the charity.
The Christmas Fair has taken place today, the PTA have been busy in school all week preparing for today.
We’ll have photos next week and let you know how much money is raised.
In January we are hosting an ‘Incredible Years’ course, led by the Bexhill Keyworker Team - this will be a
series of 10 meetings on a Wednesday morning and will support parents with children between the ages
of 5-10. This is a supportive and very useful course and we would love the places to be filled with
parents from our school. A flyer for this has been emailed home today but if you would like further information please come in and see me next week.
Next week we are looking forward to our busy final week of term, with the Pantomime trip, Christmas
Dinner and end of term parties.

Singing Group at Tesco
On Monday 15th December, our
Singing Group will be singing at
Tesco, Ravenside after school.
Parents must collect their child at
3.15pm and meet Mrs Wood
(and Mr Wood!) at Tesco at
3.30pm. The singing will last
about half an hour.
