a Model
Scientists use models to understand events that happened too long ago
to be examined directly, Most of the moon's craters were formed millions
of years ago, The Copernicus crater is 91 km (57 mil across, Using what
you learned from the model in the Investigate, what can you infer about the
object that formed this crater?

correctly.
and Contrast
~
Read the selection. Compare and contrast the rotations of Earth
and the moon.
Earth and the moon rotate, each on its own axis. They rotate at different
speeds. A complete rotation represents one day-night cycle. Earth's cycle,
which we know as one day, lasts 24 hours and is divided between daylight
and darkness. The moon rotates more slowly. If you spent a day and a night
on the moon, it would last 2~ Earth days!
