February 2017 Extended work hours for temporary closure of Fourth Avenue between Bringelly Road and Fifth Avenue, Austral from Saturday 4 February The Australian and NSW governments are funding this work under the $509 million Bringelly Road Upgrade between Camden Valley Way, Leppington and The Northern Road, Bringelly. This project is part of the $3.6 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan. Roads and Maritime Services is continuing to deliver this important project. As part of the Bringelly Road Upgrade, the underground electrical services on Fourth Avenue, Austral will be upgraded. This work will be carried out between Saturday 4 February and Sunday 5 February 2017 during extended work hours from 7am to 5pm, weather permitting. The attached map helps to better explain the temporary closure and detour. How will the work affect you? There will be some noise associated with this work however we will make every effort to minimise and complete the work as quickly as possible. Traffic changes Fourth Avenue will be temporarily closed between Bringelly Road to Fifth Avenue, Austral. Access to properties on Fourth Avenue will be maintained during the work, along with pedestrian and cyclist access. Electronic message signs will be in place to direct road users around the road closure. All other traffic will be detoured via Edmondson Avenue and Fifth Avenue. Please keep to the displayed speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs.
