Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We always loved how Mr.
Vaughan celebrated his "real" birthday every four years which, of
course, made him much younger than he was. He will also be
remembered by his kind smile at church over the years and his waves
as he came in and out of the neighborhood. He will be missed. Hold tight
to the wonderful family memories you each have.

extended to you in the death of your Dad. I knew him well when I use to
attend First Baptist before I transferred my membership to Wilroy
Baptist Church after my Mom, Bessie Barnes, passed in 2001. Ed
always had a special smile and a wave for everyone he knew. Always
cherish the memories of him in your heart, and you will see him again
one day.in Heaven. May God and friends be very close to you now as
you face these difficult days ahead. Praying for everyone in Jesus's
precious name.

Dear Vaughan Family:
Your dad was a very nice man. He loved coming to the services at the
Village. He looked forward to seeing us on Sundays. We were all
saddened to hear of his passing on Sunday. I was on vacation when he
passed. I am sorry that I was not able to come to the funeral. He was so
appreciative of us coming to the Village and sharing the Word of God
with the folks there. I believe he loved the Lord and that today he is
enjoying all that heaven has to offer. He has now received the promise
of Christ and is experiencing eternal life. I will be praying for your family.
He will be missed by all of the people at the village as well. It is my
prayer that God will wrap all of you in His love and encourage you during
your time of sorrow.

Dearest Gary, Susan, Stacey, Pat and children...
Dick and I are so saddened to learn that Ed has passed; yet, rejoice with
each of you to know that he is in perfect peace with his Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. Your Dad was a kind, gentle, God-loving man and dear
friend for many years. His ready, welcoming smile, genuine interest in
others including our family, positive attitude, love for his Lord and FBC
was an inspiration, blessing and witness to all of us. His faithful greeting
that welcomed so many as they entered FBC each week was such an
encouragement. The Tanners also send their love and prayers as they
remember
each of you and such a dear, loving man. The photos you have shared
are such a testament to his deep love for each of you. And the sheer joy
you brought him is so evident by his ever-present, characteristic smile.
You are an example of a Godly, loving family. As each day makes your
memories grow even more precious, may you draw strength from your
loving God, each other, and your continued faithful service. We love you
and are praying for you daily. Doc & Yo
