We always loved how Mr. Vaughan celebrated his "real" birthday every four years which, of course, made him much younger than he was. He will also be remembered by his kind smile at church over the years and his waves as he came in and out of the neighborhood. He will be missed. God Bless you all. Sarah Burford Sarah Burford Rev. Howard Vinson Dear Vaughan Family: Your dad was a very nice man. He loved coming to the services at the Village. He looked forward to seeing us on Sundays. We were all saddened to hear of his passing on Sunday. I was on vacation when he passed. I am sorry that I was not able to come to the funeral. He was so appreciative of us coming to the Village and sharing the Word of God with the folks there. I believe he loved the Lord and that today he is enjoying all that heaven has to offer. He has now received the promise of Christ and is experiencing eternal life. I will be praying for your family. He will be missed by all of the people at the village as well. It is my prayer that God will wrap all of you in His love and encourage you during your time of sorrow. Rev. Howard Vinson - Village Preacher Rev. Your Dad was a kind, gentle, God-loving man and dear friend for many years. His ready, welcoming smile, genuine interest in others including our family, positive attitude, love for his Lord and FBC was an inspiration, blessing and witness to all of us. His faithful greeting that welcomed so many as they entered FBC each week was such an encouragement.
