Activating your phone is easy with these simple steps:
1. Call to activate your Jitterbug Plus from 9am to 11pm
Monday through Friday, or 9am to 7pm on Saturday.
2. Insert and charge your Jitterbug Plus phone battery.
DO NOT power on phone until prompted to do so.
3. From an alternative phone, dial 800-806-5937.
(Note: Do not activate directly from your Jitterbug phone.)
4. Have your Jitterbug Plus near you when you call—the activation special
list will need certain information from your Jitterbug phone screen.
5. Identify yourself to the activation specialist as a “Texas STAP Customer”.
6. Note: You may be able to port over an existing cell phone number to your
new Jitterbug Plus, providing that number is still available at the time
you make the port request.

STAP is a voucher program that provides financial assistance for
the purchase of specialized assistive equipment or services for
individuals whose disabilities interfere with the ability access
the telephone network. If you choose to redeem your STAP
voucher for a Jitterbug Plus wireless phone, please be aware that
the monthly service fee (minimum of $14.99 per month for 50
minutes) is not included as part of the STAP program and must
be paid by you directly to GreatCall on a monthly basis.
