Weißer Burgunder

Weißer Burgunder
(P in ot Blan c )
Weißer Burgunder is a very old variety known since the 14th
century. It originated through a mutation of the Grauer Burgunder
vine, which in turn originated from the Spätburgunder. It is internationally known under the synonym Pinot Blanc. For a long time,
there has been no distinction among the Auxerrois, Chardonnay
and Pinot Blanc wines, because all three varieties can only be
differentiated by trained ampelographers and molecular biological
methods.
