March News
Pizza Day
Pizza day is my favourite day. I love pepperoni pizza. I think I could eat one thousand pizzas. Kevin and Dorothy buy pizza from the grocery store. We bring it home and cook it in the
oven. I love both kinds of pizza. Gobble, gobble! -Rowan
On March 1st
At school we got to church. We got ashes. It was the first time going up in the line. -Brock
Lentopoly
Lentopoly is a game that is like Monopoly and on Ash Wednesday we started Lentopoly and
our whole class got to play Lentopoly in one day. After French I Ianded on a 7 and other
people did too. It was “Go to Confession!” -Marah
My mom is having a new baby soon. I watched Lego crash cans at home. It was made out of
Lego. -Eamon
Spirit Team Work
The special thing we did with our Spirit Team was we made crosses with stickers and scissors and stuff to glue on and markers. It was awesome! -Ayda
Ash Wednesday
On Ash Wednesday we went to church and got ashes on our forehead. The ash is from the
palm tree from Palm Sunday. It shows the sign of the cross. It shows that Lent starts it goes
on for 40 days. For the 40 days you give up something and you can also do something nice
every day. We play Lentopoly. We do something and if we do it we will put a bead in the jar.
Something special will happen at Easter with the beads!- Keira
Mass
We got ash on our forehead. At church the songs were about God. -Kellen
The 40 Days of Lent
At the end of 40 days of Lent we celebrate Easter. At Easter we celebrate Jesus rising from
the dead. At Easter every day we wake up and most people around the world get to celebrate Easter and we find Easter eggs around our house. My family goes to a hall and meets
my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. We go outside and find Easter eggs outside too at the
hall. At Easter it is a nice time to celebrate with your family and hang out with them. -Isabella

February Recap
Minute to Win It
We wrapped squares. We put beads into the bowl and some people won. -Cedar
Math Probability Spinners
In Math we played spinners. They were fun. We found out the chances of landing on
yellow. -Grayson
Nutrition Presentation
Allison came into our class and taught us about being healthy. We got to try beets and
mango. –Kailey G.
Valentine’s Day
We did activities and we filled others bags with candies. We did “Minute to Win it.”
We brought treats for everyone to eat. We read Valentine’s Day stories. - Hannah
French
In French we learned about l’hiver. Did you know a “Bonhomme de neige” is a snowman and “un chocolat chaud” is hot chocolate? –Kailey G.
100s day and Minute to Win It
on 100 day of school we played Minute to Win It and we played other games in the
gym and we had fun and we loved it. The End. Kaylee
“Bay of Quinte Remedial Action” Presentation
Sarah was in the gym. We went down in the gym and we learned that whatever you
put into a lake it goes into the Bay of Quinte. -Kailey
Adjectives
We learned about adjectives like when you describe “sun.” “Yellow sun.” We went into
groups and Mrs. Watson put a word in the middle of the page. In our group we described a “chair.” It was fun! -Kelsey
Valentines Day
On Valentine’s day we got hearts and candy and treats. -William
Pancake Day
On Pancake day we got to eat pancakes. The whole school got to eat it. It was really
good. There was a big line up and I got pancakes and I got sausages too. I ate it too
and I got butter too and syrup on my pancakes and I had two pancakes.

Minute to Win It
Wrapped a rock. We put some beads in the bowl. We were in teams. They were called
Candy Hearts, Team Awesome and Valentines. I loved it. -Olive
Birthdays- It was my birthday and Tavis birthday and Olives
birthday in February. I turned 8 and Tavis turned 8 too and
Olive turned 7! We all got gifts from Mrs. Watson. -Ella
Tuesday, March 21st
100s day
We had a 100 day and we had fun. We did a hundred exercises.
We made glasses. We read a poem with 100 words. We read
books. -Ryan
