Note from the Pastor: I would like to express my appreciation for a very hard work of
all the pathfinder leaders, pathfinders and parents during the last weekend’s Parking Lot
Sale. God has blessed your efforts with a tremendous success. The sale was a fundraiser for the OshKosh Pathfinder trip and It was a great success! Praise the Lord! We
are very grateful for Slavic church monthly contribution as well as OshKosh fundraiser in
their church that helped to contribute. We appreciate all the Linwood contributions toward our Pathfinder club and wishing them many blessings as they prepare for the trip.

Below are some important lessons in life when helping with VBS:
1. learn how to bring biblical men and women to life through story.
2. we don’t have to wait until we know “enough” about the Bible to teach biblical principles.
3. sharing about Jesus is never about comfort but always about love–His for
us, ours for Him and for others.
If you are able to help in any way, your contribution is needed and appreciated.
Below are some items needed, but the need for décor is not limited to this
list—even if it isn’t listed, if you have something to lend for the program, we
gladly accept – please write your name on items you want back (e.g., Christmas tree stands)!
Cardboard boxes (large)
Styrofoam balls (2.5” and 2” for crafts)
Grass seed
Plant soil
Tan Nylons/Knee-his

Protecting Your Digital Estate: You know who gets the china hutch from
great-grandma, who gets that special pocket watch, and what you want to give
to your children and even grandchildren when you pass away. What about
your digital estate—access to your Facebook, e-mail, online photo albums that
your family would treasure? Go to www.uccsda.org/Trust and watch the newest in the video series featuring Troy & Renae Patzer and family, or to contact
the Estate Planning Dept. Visit www.willplan.org to learn even more about
many options available through your conference, which offers free estate plan

award for excellence in scholarship; Deborah Silva, Walla Walla University
award for excellence in advising; Linda Emmerson, distinguished faculty lecturer; Brandon Aberle, rising staff member of the year; and John McMackin and
Esther Coyle, co-staff members of the year. Read more at www.wallawalla.edu.
Undercover Pastor: Pastors don't often get to take a sabbatical. When Pastor
Marvin Wray got his chance, he traveled over 12,000 miles by motorcycle to
visit over 70 churches in a six-week period, posing as a biker. He wanted to
learn where we stand as a body of believers. He wanted to see what is working
and what isn't. Then he wrote a book about his journeys. Watch the video to

We Believe . . .
1. That the Bible is the final authority for all beliefs and practice for the Christian
(2 Timothy 3:16-17).
2. That there is one God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and
God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; 1 John 5:7, Genesis 1:26).
3. That we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16, 1 John
5:12-13 & Ephesians 2:8-9).
4. That Christians who have been redeemed by Jesus will live in obedience to all of
His commandments (John 14:15; Isa. 8:20; 1 John 3:4; Rev. 12:17).
5. That Jesus will come again very soon (John 14:1-3).
6. That the requirements of the Ten Commandments are still binding on all people
today, including the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment
(Matthew 5:17, Exodus 20:8-11).
7. That the judgment which will decide the eternal destiny of all people is
now taking place in heaven (Daniel 8:14, 9:25-27).
8. That when a person dies they do not go immediately to heaven or
hell, but rest in the grave as one who is asleep awaiting the resurrection
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, John 5:28-29, 11:11-14).
9. That after Jesus comes again, the people of God will judge the world with Jesus,
following which fire will fall from heaven to completely devour the wicked and purify
the earth (1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:4-9, 2 Peter 3:10-13).
10. That God, as a loving Father, wants us to live healthful lives avoiding foods and
substances He has declared unfit, and actively pursuing positive lifestyle habits
(Leviticus 11, Proverbs 20:1, Daniel 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
11. That the followers of Jesus will live pure and honorable lives making sure their business, recreation and relationships meet the Bible standard (Philippians 4:8).
12. That God gives power through His people to bless the church and the world in miracles, teaching, prophecy, healing, mercy, and many other gifts (1 Corinthians 12)
and that the gift of prophecy in modern times was manifested in the life of Ellen G.
White.
13. That the Seventh-day Adventist Church fills a special role in the world today to prepare people for the 2nd coming of Jesus (Rev. 14:6-13).
14. That we will grow as we talk to God in prayer, feed on His word through Bible study
and share His love through witnessing (2 Tim. 2:15; Col 1:9-10; 2:6; Ephesians
6:18; Romans 10:9,10; 2 Peter 3:18; Philippians 3:7-14; 4:4-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:16
-18; John 20:21; Galatians 5:22-25).
15. That the Bible teaches that all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord,
and intend to obey all the teachings of the Bible should be baptized by immersion
(John 3:5; Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:19-20
