Welcome Back Mrs. Carson
Santiam Christian is proud to
announce the return of Mrs. Carrie
Carson to the Agriculture teaching
position. Carrie will replace Tom
Flower who graciously came from
Colorado to fill the position for one
year.
Mrs. Carson was the start up teacher when Santiam
Christian first initiated the Agriculture Program seven
years ago. She returns after taking a year off due to
her husband's military duties. As she returns, she will
be implementing a full time Agriculture Program at
the Santiam Christian Junior/Senior High level. Mrs.
Carson is a graduate of Oregon State University with
an Agriculture Teaching degree.
SC Hires Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
Santiam Christian is pleased to announce the hiring of
Dennis McLain to lead the boys’ basketball program.
He replaces Anthony Baugher, who resigned earlier
this month.
Dennis resides in Albany, Oregon, and graduated
from Santiam Christian High School in 1997. McLain
was a four-year letterman on the boys’ basketball
team in high school. He has been involved in the
program since high school, both as an assistant to
Ron Sisler and most recently as the head JV coach/
varsity assistant for the past four years under Anthony
Baugher. During his tenure the varsity team had two
consecutive state berths resulting in a 3rd and 4th
place trophies, and the varsity team averaged 20 wins
a season.
