Ongoing Teachers Progress update: Classroom leadership opportunities were developed in all classrooms at the beginning of the school year and is ongoing. School-wide leadership opportunities have been developed and began implementation in November. 2) John Weldon LIM Expectations were created by the Lighthouse Team and August Lighthouse Team distributed prior to the end of the 14-15 year. They will be referred to and reviewed throughout the year. Progress update: Reviewed with Lighthouse Team and provided to all staff at August staff meeting and will be reviewed during January staff meeting. 3) Climate Action Team will review student, staff, and parent survey data. They will December/ Climate Action Team collaborate to implement areas of improvement for students, parents, and March Administrators community. Progress update: N/A at this time. 4) Social Action Team will review staff survey data to identify and implement December/ Social Action Team activities to improve building climate. Page 20 TIMELINE: Francis Howell School District 15-16 School Improvement Plan 5) Community Action Team will coordinate resources and services from the Ongoing Community Action Team community for families, students, and the school, and provide services to the community. Key 6 Progress update: Community action team assisted with coordinating the Leader In Me parent night and Culver’s night. They are also reaching out to several local businesses to connect them to our schools and students. The next step will be to see how the team can get students out to visit businesses and/or partner with businesses to increase student involvement and promote leadership skills. 6) 100% of Certified Staff will participate in the 2 day 7 Habits training in August. August Administrators Progress update: 100% of certified staff participated in training in August. 7) The Parent Lighthouse team will provide outreach to engage other parents in the Ongoing Parent Lighthouse Team Leader in Me process. In addition, this group will connect with students, staff and other parents to provide critical input to John Weldon Elementary. Key 5 Progress update: At this time, the Parent Lighthouse team has not been developed. The Staff Lighthouse Team and Community Action Team have taken on the responsibility of this action step until the Parent Lighthouse Team develops. Page 21
