desk. Completed registration forms can be returned to the front desk or sent (via mail or fax) directly to AACC.

♦♦ Computer Classes ~ Please note: Computer classes may require the purchase
of a book. Book cost is $20.00 (if you don’t already own the book) in addition
to $80.00 cycle fee. Please see the Life Stages Booklet for full descriptions of
computer courses. A copy is available at the front desk.
♦ Cold War Strategy ~ Examine the objectives and strategy of the United States
and the Soviet Union during the Cold War (1945-1991), including nuclear and
conventional war planning, espionage, propaganda and proxy wars.
♦ Women of the World ~ Examine the lives of influential women who shaped the
world regarding women's rights, politics, culture, science and religion. Explore
how, as champions of their causes, these women positively influenced the welfare
and conditions of humanity.
♦Beginning Italian ~ Join instructor, Richard Paterniti, for the summer session to
learn basic Italian vocabulary and verb conjugations that can be used in everyday
conversations.
♦ Life & Times of Charlemagne ~ Explore the life and times of Charlemagne
during the Middle Ages. Topics include Charlemagne's accomplishments,
excellence in fine arts and education, refinements of the legal system, laws for
church and state, and expanded freedoms under his reign.
♦ Adobe Lightroom for Photographers ~ This course, taught by Don Dement,
introduces photographers to Adobe Systems, Inc. “Lightroom,” a popular program
that provides tools for a consistent, rapid workflow from camera to high-quality
output. Topics include processing, editing, archiving, and organizing digital photo
files.
♦ Let eBay Work for You ~ Discover how to use eBay to supplement income.
Find used and wholesale items to buy and then sell on eBay. Learn to set up an
account and auction page, communicate with buyers, and price and ship your
items.
♦ French Language, Customs and Literature ~ Join instructor, Nathalie DavisHaslbeck, this session to learn French words and expressions useful in basic
conversations and increase your knowledge of French heritage, customs, holidays,
literature, art and more.
♦Beginning Spanish ~ Learn basic Spanish grammar and pronunciation. Study
the proper use of verbs, idioms, objectives, plural forms and become familiar with
Spanish and Latin American culture and geography.
♦Weight Training for Older Adults~ This course with fitness instructor Akiko
Stefanovich will teach participants how to use proper techniques for the
development of strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, flexibility and body
composition to develop a weight training regimen without the use of expensive
fitness equipment. This class will be held in the Group Exercise Room (Room 2).
