tales about the trip to Texas when she was a girl. These were told as bedtime stories. She also told
the children that they were one fourth Cherokee and the rest French. Nickname is Sis.

Murdered in Shreveport, La. Cemetery records of Pilgrims Rest Cemetery show his
date of death October 12, 1911. He was an M.D. Edgar was a member of the W. O.
W. Accounts of his death vary but according to Helen Ann Hamilton he had been to
Shreveport Louisiana to take an examination and on the trip home got sick and
died. She discounts the murder aspect. He liked to sing and make political talks. He
was a school teacher, liked to study about medicine, he was also a farmer and liked
to play jokes on people. According to Mrs. Bob( Mary Ann) Moore, he had been to
Mississippi to take some medical tests and became ill when he arrived in
Shreveport, La. He wrote a note to Emily telling her of his illness but never mailed it.
He was found dead with the note the next morning. It is believed that Aunt Evie
Ritnor Moore, Mark's wife, has the note.

Thomas Howard Anderson was born June 23, 1824 in Green Conty, Alabama. His famiy moved to
Texas in 1834 landing in Sabine District. He lived ther for a while, then moved to Nacogdoches
County, Texas. He married Missouri Briley on February 28, 1845. They had three
children:Shadraack, Benjamin, and Mary Ann.After Missouri died, Thomas married Harriet (Lessie)
Ashing, widow of Walter Warder Ashing, by whom whe had one son, Alexander Frank Ashing.
They were married August 2, 1855 in Nacogdoches County. They had eight children. Thomas was
a farmer. After his last child was born, Harriet died. He never remarried, and raised his family
alone. He died December 2, 1907, while visisting his son at Marlow, Oklahoma. He had gray eyes,
and had fair complexion. He was not tall nor was he fat. In later years he wore a mustache and
small beard. He had a firm but calmvoice. He was not rich in worldly goods, but had a wealth of
character.

Benjamin W. Anderson was born near Dublin, Ireland. He was "bound out" to a guardian, his
uncle,Mr.------------- Gordon. As a lad, he ran away from his guardian, andn came as a cabin boy
on a ship to America, leaving a sister and a brother. As a man he settled in Alabama(Green Co.).
He was a very strong man. Men came from far and near to fight him. At one time he owned about
50 slaves. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.

Solomon Fuller II married Ogilvia Avent about 1760. She was called Gilly and so
appears in documents. Solomon left a will in Laurens County dated 1816, proved
1821. Solomon was a lieutenant of the Granville Militia in 1771 and was no doubt an
officer in the Revolution. There are two references to him in military vouchers and
his military record can likely be traced. He does not appear in the published
extracted records of North Carolikna Revolutionary Soldiers. Solomon lived for
years in Randolph County where he was a Justice of the Peace and is mentioned a
number of times not only in land records but in court minutes. Solomon Fuller II and
his entire family moved to Laurens County, South Carolina before 1800. By his will,
dated in 1816 and proven in 1821, it would seem that Jesse was dead by 1816. We
know that Britain had died. Neither of them were mentioned in Solomon's will.

Probably born in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia. He could have immigrated from England. He died in
1723. Some genealogists say he was the son of Old William Fuller, first governor of Maryland.
Others say he was the grandson of Samuel Fuller, who came over on the Mayflower in 1620. In a
land purchase, Ezekiel fuller indicated that he was from the Isle of Wight, Co., Virginia. We have
another record to substatiate this statement. in 1711, Ezekiel Fuller witnessed the Isle of Wight will
of Henry Wiggs. This is the earliest indication of the existence of Ezekiel. The lad pourchase
mentioned above was a 400 acre purchase from James and Mary Bragg and the transaction was
recorded on September 23, 1717. Only six years later Ezekiel died. in his will he had named his
wife Deborah and 12 children. With eight of these children sons, Ezekiel's surname was destined
for a multiplicity of people and places.

KIskiach in 1632. He patented land in York County, March 14, 1639, which land was the present
site of Yorktown, known then as Temple Farm. Nicholas Martian (or Captain Niccolas Martue) is
listed in the Musters of Inhabitants of Virginia in 1624. He is age 33 and in the Francis

Notes for Jane BERKELEY:
Sir William Berkeley(1606-77), English colonial governor , born in Bruton, Somersetshire, and
educated at the University of Oxford. He sponsored trading ventures in Canada in the 1630's and
was appointed governor of the colony of Virginia in 1641. During the civil wars in England, Berkeley
kept Virginia loyal to the king until 1651, when the English Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell sent a
fleet to depose him. Although Berkeley and his followers were forced to acknowledge Cromwell's
rule and Berkeley was removed as governor, he remained in the colony. At the Restoration in 1660
he was chosen governor by the Virginia General Assembly, receiving his commission for the office
from King Charles II. Berkeley soon lost favor with the people because of his arbitrary policy, his
obstinacy, and his persistent refusal to furnish protection against the Native Americans. A rebellion
against him led by Nathaniel Bacon failed only because of Bacon's sudden death(see BACON'S
REBELLION). A royal commission condemned Berkeley's policy, and he was forced to return to
England in 1676. He wrote "A Discourse and View of Virginia"(1663) and a drama, "The Lost
