The marquee entrance is spectacular, with a tower at either side, and a contraption of coloured circles rotated by a series of pulleys. Our tickets, which we won in a ”Press” competition, were for seats in the middle of the front row. They proved BLOG STATS 138,229 hits to be on either side of the central aisle, but a kind usher arranged for us to sit together. When we arrived there were gas heaters on full bore, and the marquee was pleasantly warm.
