Reality Is Just a Point of View
December 3, 2016 to January 15, 2017
Main room
Artists: Giovanni Castell, Lori Nix and Catherine Plaisance
Each of the three artists in this exhibition does more than simply reproduce three-dimensional
space in two dimensions. The artists neither imitate nor interpret: they create worlds, eluding the
photographic medium traditionally thought to be faithful to reality.

In the Project room: The Colours of Life - Areg Elibekian
Third-generation Armenian painter Areg Elibekian has been travelling the world since the age of 20 in search
of new landscapes to immortalize. His works radiate an effervescent happiness and joie de vivre that reflect the
artist’s playful and sunny disposition.

The Continuity of Movement...Take 2
From April 8 to June 4, 2017
Vernissage: Sunday, April 9, 2017
In fall 2016, students from Pointe-Claire elementary schools discovered 17 artworks from their

eight weeks, these kids learned to live daily with a piece of art. They became accustomed to it,
they examined it from every angle, and they were inspired by it.
The Continuity of Movement…Take 2 is the result of this daily exposure between kids and art.

Lake Saint-Louis offering a range of activities for the whole family: cultural workshops, concerts,
children's shows, conferences, exhibitions at the Stewart Hall Art Gallery, Art Rental and Boutique,

Cultural Mediation
The main goal of Stewart Hall's Cultural Mediation Programs is to create a link between citizens
and art and culture. These programs were created as a way to reach out to the community and
allow as many people as possible to have access to art and culture. This can be achieved in many
ways such as encouraging dialogue with artists, demystifying a work of art or an artistic discipline,
etc. These activities are created so that everyone can be introduced to art and culture and become
active participants in their community's cultural life and environment.
