Time
Spelling rule – adding the suffix ‘ion’ or ‘ian’ to a root word.
Look at the last letter of the word and check if it ends with a t, s or ss.
This spelling homework has been split over two weeks, see the
previous week as well. This week we are looking at the following rules:
If it ends in a d, drop the d and add –sion (with the exception
of attend – attention and intend – intention).

Classroom spelling: which, until
Write each word by itself 3 times. Ask someone to read each word as
part of a sentence so you can practise writing the whole sentence.
We are starting to investigate shadows in school. Have a look at our
classroom blog for ideas!
This weekend find something with a shadow. Draw it, label it and

write a sentence to explain what it is and what time of day it is.
Literacy
Perhaps you can suggest what the shadow will look like at different
times of day, investigate this and report it in your books?
Maths
If you would like your work to be displayed please do your homework
on a lose piece of paper.
Mathletics.
Please log on and complete the activities that have been set for
you. Complete an activity correctly more than once to be sure you
can do it well.
Mental Maths:
Practise all your times tables (including 12!). How quickly can you
remember them out of order?
Please read a little bit of your book every day.
