wonderful start to the holiday season and celebration of Christmas. Relax on Galveston Island
and enjoy the many attractions.
Lone Star Flight Museum
Enjoy a catered lunch Friday after your arrival in the Lone Star Flight Museum. Tour the museum and experience
some of America’s legendary and historic aircraft. Visit the Museum’s gift shop for that early Christmas gift!
Moody Gardens Festival of Lights
A mile-long trail with more than one million lights and 100 lighted scenes takes you around the Moody Gardens
property with spectacular views of Galveston Bay. Enjoy the outdoor skating rink, concession areas with hot
chocolate and festive food, holiday buffets, live entertainment and more.
Moody Gardens Ice Land Ice Sculptures
Skilled professional ice carvers from Harbin, China create majestic marvels featuring holiday scenes.
Dickens on the Strand
Enjoy Saturday at Galveston’s world famous Victorian holiday festival. The annual holiday street festival is based
on 19th-century Victorian London, features parades, entertainment, strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers,
jugglers and more. You might even see Mr. Scrooge, Tiny Tim or Bob Marley! There will be plenty to eat and
drink at the festival.
Christmas Party
Join us Saturday evening at the hotel Ninth Floor View-Finders Terrace Ballroom for the annual SWBS Christmas
party. Fabulous food, drink and decorations await your arrival!
FRIDAY, December 4
Arrive Galveston Scholes International Airport (KGLS) before Noon
Host FBO is Galveston Aviation Services (409-744-9000, 877-744-9003)
Hangar space is available for maximum six aircraft! So call ahead!
Friday catered lunch will be provided in the Lone Star Flight Museum (sandwiches,
chips, drinks). Enjoy lunch and tour the Museum’s collection of historic aircraft.
Depart LSFM for Moody Gardens Hotel at 3:00 PM for room check-in.
Friday afternoon and evening is on your own at Moody Gardens.
Visit the Rainforest Pyramid, Aquarium Pyramid, 3D Imax Theater, Tropical Gardens, Ice
Sculptures, the Festival of Lights, or just visit the Spa and relax.
Hospitality Suite opens Friday.
SATURDAY, December 5
Dickens on the Strand
Dress Victorian or just go as you are to the annual celebration of Christmas and Charles Dickens
on Galveston’s historic Strand.
 Shuttles leave the hotel at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to the festival
 Shuttle pickup back to the hotel at 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM (last one!)
You can also tour the Galveston Railroad Museum, the restored 1877 tall sailing ship Elissa, or
the Texas Seaport Museum (next to the Elissa).
Saturday Evening
The Christmas Party starts at 6:30 PM in the Hotel Ninth floor View-Finders
Terrance Ball Room. Menu includes tossed salad, Surf & Turf (5 oz) beef
tenderloin with béarnaise sauce and three grilled shrimp with linguini pasta.
Dessert is salted caramel cheese cake with fresh berries and whipped cream.
*Cash Bar provided*. Please dress appropriately (cocktail, after 5).
SUNDAY, December 6
Have breakfast and fly home at your leisure.
