Team Zacharias is excited to take to the ice this season and is looking forward to a
successful year! The team is based out of south central Manitoba with our skip
Mackenzie Zacharias from Altona, our third Morgan Reimer from Morden, our second
Emily Zacharias from Altona, and our lead Jenessa Rutter from Carman. We enjoy
competing on the ice as a team and having fun off the ice as friends!
The 2015/16 season will be our first full season playing together as a team; however,
the team got a head start on the season by participating in 4 events this past spring with
some great success. This past spring they competed in the Bemidji MJCT bonspiel, the
Grand Forks MJCT, and the Teulon MJCT. Based on their success at these 3 events
they are currently at the top of the MJCT point’s standings. The team also participated
in the Curl Manitoba U21 Petersfield Spring Berth bonspiel and finished 6 th out of 14
U21 women’s teams.
The team is very excited to take to the ice this fall to see what they might achieve in the
coming season!
