Install Guide Movi@UCSF for Windows Prerequisites • • • • A Windows computer with an Pentium 4 Processor or higher with at least 512MB RAM A broadband or equivalent connection for a more stable call A built-in webcam or external USB webcam Recommended: USB headset microphone for the best audio experience In order to use Movi at UCSF you must first request an account from your local IT support team. You will receive an email notification when you account is setup on the Movi server. Download the client using the instructions in the email. Installation The custom installer “movi_at_ucsf_for_windows.msi” will automatically install and configure the windows client. 1. Download the Movi installer and save the file to a location of your choice. Unzip to extract it. 2. Double-click “movi_at_ucsf_for_windows.msi” to launch the installer and click run to install the program. 3. After the install wizard has been opened, click Next 4. Read over and accept the license agreement terms and click Next 5. Accept the default installation folder and click Next, then click Install 6. When the installer has finished, click Finish and then launch Cisco TelePresence Movi. (the installer configures Movi automatically so you do not need to configure server information) 7. Uncheck “Sign in automatically” 8. Click on the tool icon near the top right corner and under Application uncheck “start Movi at Windows Logon” and click “OK” 9. Log in using your username and password that was provided to you in the email Please Note: Leaving yourself logged into Movi utilizes a license. Please log out of Movi when you are not actively involved in a call. Troubleshooting: Changing your audio/video devices in Movi: 1. Make sure you are not currently in a call 2. In the top right corner of the Movi window click the tool icon 3. Click on “Devices” and here you can choose your Audio Output, Audio Input and Video Input For the best audio (and privacy) use a USB headset microphone when using Movi.
