Black trousers worn around the waist with a plain
black belt, white shirt with a top button and the
Highcrest Academy tie
The official Highcrest black V-neck jumper with
red stripe is the ONLY jumper that may be worn,
no other jumper will be accepted
Black blazer with school badge
Black socks
Black shoes (trainers/canvas/Vans shoes are not
permitted)
DARK COLOURED outdoor coat (denim, leather
jackets and hoodies are not permitted)
Fluorescent strips are recommended to aid
visibility
Girls School Uniform – All Years








Black knee length skirt with no splits, or tailored
trousers (both items of clothing must not be
excessively close fitting), plain black belt, white
shirt with top button, The Highcrest Academy tie.

Muslim girls may wear a plain black Hijab, with
no decoration (normal length – not long)
Hot Weather Red Polo Shirt
The Highcrest Academy hot weather red polo shirt may be worn after the summer half-term (in 2017, that is
from Monday 4 June until Friday 20 July). It may be worn in place of the school shirt and tie. A pupil may
wear the Highcrest Academy hot weather red polo shirt with or without the school jumper and/or blazer. No
t-shirts may be worn underneath the hot weather red polo shirt. Over their full school uniform or the Highcrest
Academy hot weather red polo shirt, a pupil may wear a dark outdoor waterproof coat or jacket – but not a
hoodie - travelling to and from school. The outdoor coat/jacket must then be removed once they are in
school.
All Students
Extreme hairstyles, patterns in hair and unnatural hair colouring are not acceptable. Patterns and cuts in
eyebrows are also not allowed.
Plain black/red hair band/hair ties may be worn
Students with pierced ears may wear one small stud in each ear. Other jewellery, including hoop earrings,
nose, eye and other facial or body studs and rings are not permitted
All items of clothing should be clearly named
Sports Kit for both boys and girls

 An optional black/red Highcrest Sports Cap is
available from the PE Department. This may
only be worn on the field during a PE lesson,
with the permission of the Teacher, when it is
very hot and bright. The Sports Cap must not
be worn to or from school, or around the
school site.
