PDR Quick Reference Guide for Cisco Partners Partner This Quick Reference Guide shows the PDR deal lifecycle Partner Create Deal Customer/ Promotion Partner Place Orders Quote Qualify Items/Discounts/ Buy Method Approve For some promotions 1 PDR Log In / Create Deal PDR URL: http://tools.cisco.com/PDR/home.do - Cisco.com ID and password are required - Ensure that you are associated with your company at Partner Self Service http://www.cisco.com/go/pss 2 Who’s Involved Tab Include information about the Partner, the End Customer, and Cisco 3 About the Deal Tab Include deal description details such as Intended Use, Expected Closing Date, Expected List Price Amounts, and Expected Technology Mix 4 Promotions Tab View and select from promotions available to your company based on certification, specialization, authorization, geography, purchasing relationship, and program enrollments For deals that do not require Qualification, PDR will automatically move you to Step 6 - Quote Tab. (Qualification process is promotion / country specific) Deal Status=Not Submitted Partner: Submit Deal Partner Deal Registration November 2008 release Distribution Buy Method (PDR sends quote detail) And/Or Cisco Buy Method (with PDR Deal ID) 5 Review and Submit Tab for Qualification Qualification only required for some promotions Review Deal Information Click the Submit Deal for Qualification button Deal Status=Qualification in Progress Partner: No Action Partner receives email notification from Cisco Deal Status=Qualified, Rejected, or More Info Required Partner: Create Quote or provide more information 6 Quote Tab Create a Quote by manually adding SKUs or importing a saved configuration and selecting a Buy Method (Cisco or Distributor) 7 Apply Discounts Click the Save and Continue button to view pricing overview 8 Review and Submit Tab for Approval Deal Sharing View and edit capability for PDR deals can be shared within your company or with your Cisco contacts via their Cisco.com ID. Share deals by clicking the Share link: - Within a specific deal - From the PDR Home Page to share multiple deals Partners can revise their Approved Quotes Partners can revise Quotes with both Cisco Direct and Distribution Buy Methods. To modify an Item, Qty, or Buy Method, the Partner clicks the Edit Quote button from the Quote tab or the Review and Submit tab. Revision steps are the same as steps to enter Quote information Note: Revising the deal will cause the status to become Re-Opened and the Quote may need to be Re-Approved. Shared Expiration Dates When a PDR deal expires, the Distribution Authorization ID (DART) expires on the same date, even for revised deals. Ordering An Email Approval notification indicates Partners are able to place orders. - Partners can place orders for distributor fulfilled lines with the named distributor. Distributors and partners receive an email notification with the Distribution Authorization ID (DART) - Partners can place orders for Cisco Direct lines in the Cisco Ordering Tool using the PDR Deal ID Be sure to place orders before the deal expires!
