Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Palm Lakes – 032 947 2030 Theme for this week: WATER!!! Thought for the week: Teacher Nompu Dear parents Welcome back to the start of term 2! We hope your Easter weekend was awesome! A warm welcome to our team and also to Kallum Moodley who joins us for the first time. We trust that you and your family will feel at home in no time at all! I have been introduced to some interesting parenting links: here is one that deals with helping children to stand up for themselves… https://selfsufficientkids.com/kids-stand-up-for-themselves/ As we ease into this term, navigating a few more public holidays, I look forward to sharing the fun we have planned. So take a breath and enjoy the days ahead! Melting Elsa’s Frozen Hands! You will need: latex gloves, water, driveway salt (coloured with food colouring), table salt (in shaker), small spoon / scoops, syringes, pate knives, paint brushes, shallow pans or baking dishes and a bowl of room temperature water. To fill your gloves: beads, buttons, craft foam shapes, tinsel garland (chopped up), plastic crystals, glass vase filters, mardi grass beads, metallic pipe cleaners. For fun add some curling ribbon to the top, and place all of the hand/s on a baking sheet and set it in the freezer overnight. Let’s melt those hands: Place each hand in a shallow baking dish, along with a set of tools for excavating, a bowl of driveway salt coloured with food colouring, and a shaker of plain table salt. Place a bowl of water on the table and get to work! Start the melting process by scooping, pouring, shaking and squirting the salt and water. 20 April – International high Five Day 26 April – Crazy hair Day 27 April – Freedom Day 28 April – School Holiday 01 May – Worker’s Day 09 May – Flag Farm Animal Farm Outing 12 May – Mother’s Day event at school 14 May – Mother’s Day 15 May – Auditory Screenings Choose to style your hair any way you wish to… colour, gel, objects, ponies!
