It is a blessing to have you in worship with us today. We trust that you will witness the presence of God among us and join us in lifting up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts desire to grow disciples to reach a needy world with the love of Christ. Thanks for being a part of this effort through your prayers, giving, and Christian service. May God richly bless you. Pastor Robert J. Anderson, Jr. To the Colonial Family from Jenine Melton, and the Chance/Melton family: I would like to thank my Colonial Baptist family for your support during my 18th month deployment in Afghanistan. Your cards, care packages and most importantly your prayers were very much appreciated. It means more than I can ever express in words. There were many times that I had to request “SOS" prayers due to the frequent efforts of the enemy forces to destroy the compound where I worked and resided. I Praise God that the attacks were thwarted and that God put his shield of angels around the compound. He redirected their bombs every time. Hallelujah !! The Colonial family truly demonstrated love in action. It is my prayer that the Lord will richly reward all of you for your many acts of loving kindness and that he will continue to use the Colonial family to reach the world for Christ. The Chance/ Melton family also join our daughter in expressing our sincere thanks for your faithfulness, words of encouragement, support and constant prayers which will continue to be our greatest weapon. Words are inadequate to capture our appreciation and thanks. There were many tense moments during Jenine's deployment, but God answered the many individual and corporate prayers of the saints. As the word says in James 5:16 the effectual and fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Again, we thank you and thank our lord for allowing us to be a member of a loving and caring church. We are living witnesses that Colonial's motto is true " Colonial is a place where Jesus is exalted, the bible is explained, people are loved and disciples are made" Hebrews 6:10 " For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister." In His love, The Chance and Melton Family
