Thank you & God bless you Vocations “The Good Life” John 10:1-10 As Christians we are thankful that God has given us the gift of life. Our creation as human beings comes from the Creator of all that is. But even beyond the gift of life, God gives us meaning in our lives, God gives us a reason to live. This life that we receive from God is “the good life.” When we become a Christian, we gain a heavenly perspective but can still see value in our earthly lives. Our existence means something: we can pass along our worth to others. Also God gives us “direction” for our lives and the freedom to blossom within these guidelines. All that should be more than enough to spur the non-believer towards faith! Marygrove Retreat Center A SIX-DAY DIRECTED retreat will be offered at Marygrove Retreat Center June 4-9, 2017. A Directed Retreat is a concentrated guided experience of God in prayer. It is based on Sacred Scripture and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The retreat is designed for those who seek to listen and respond to the Lord in an environment of solitude and silence. Each participant meets daily with a spiritual director for guidance and discernment. The fee for this retreat is $260 per person. For more information or to register please call 906-644-2771. Congratulations to Taylor Johnson, Jonah Dziekonski, Emily Petersen, Kallan Wilde, and Irianely Sanchez who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Sunday at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. LifeCor-ner ....if we really believe that abortion is an intimate act of violence - and of course, it is - then we can't aim at anything less than ending abortion. It doesn't matter that some abortions have always occurred, or that some will always occur. If we really believe that abortion kills a developing, unborn human life, then we can never be satisfied with mere 'reductions' in the body count. - Archbishop Charles Chaput Thank You A very warm thank you to all who sent me cards for the 30th jubilee celebration of my ordination.
