Do you know an educator who
inspires bright, curious, creative, or
talented students?
Someone who sparks their imagination, serves as a
mentor, runs or supports a program, or champions them?
From the custodian’s office to central office
we know there are people who help these students
be successful and we want to thank them.
Please help us do that by nominating them for the…
Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education
Educator of the Year
We recognize that the work needed to help bright children strive toward their potential depends on the districts, schools, and teachers
in Massachusetts. We know that there are no mandates, policies, or funding for gifted education, but we also know that there are
educators and districts out there still working very hard on behalf of the academic, as well as the social and emotional needs, of some
of our most highly able children regardless of their appearance, socio-economic status, or background.
We believe that those who take on these tasks should be recognized for their efforts and commitment. To that end, MAGE will honor
an educator in the state who works in public schools to support bright, curious, creative, gifted, and/or talented students. These
individuals may work at the district, school, or classroom level.
If chosen from the entries around the state, they will receive free membership in MAGE, which will provide them with continual
support in their efforts. They will get free MAGE 2017 conference registration for themselves and their immediate family. They will
be recognized at the state conference, and information about this award will be sent to their district leaders and their local newspaper
along with their photo receiving the award.
