Members of the Middletown Board of Education and Superintendent:
Below is the full communication of how a few candidates and elected officials were invited to
speak to a Government and Policy Class in your school district. They spoke to roughly 30
students about their experience running for office, most of those students being under the age of
18. Their opponents were invited to come discuss their experiences to the same 30 students
afterwards and they declined. During my four years as county chairman, I have spoken to dozens of classrooms as have
candidates and elected officials in all offices. There is no secret agenda. It is great when
members of both parties and candidates from both parties can talk to students about their real
life experiences, not what is just in a textbook.
I feel sorry for the school district that the County Republicans and a local blogger are trying to
create a witch hunt and create an issue that does not exist.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

Good Morning Meghan,
I will arrange a date for you to address the GLP3 Cohort as well as some other students that
may be interested. Would you be able to bring possible candidates with you for a panel
presentation?

Dear Ms. Douglas,
This is Meghan Mahoney, the Campaign Coordinator for the Monmouth County Democrats
and a Middletown North Class of 2012 Alumna. I am reaching out to you as the administrators

We are looking for fall interns to assist with the numerous 2016 races we have this election
season and would like to advertise these open positions to your student body. Please, let me
know if I would be able to contact the GLP3 cohort or address one of their seminars. The
office is looking for motivated, informed students like those in your program.
Attached are the Internship Job Description and Application for the positions.
Thank you for time and I look forward to hearing from you.
