Prime or Composite?

You will need: two dice, Prime or Composite recording sheet (one for each player)
1. Roll the dice to create a two digit number. Write it
on the recording sheet.
2. Determine if the number is prime or composite.
Explain your thinking to your partner.
Reminder: A prime number only has two factors, one and
itself. A composite number has more than two factors.
3. Record your number and its factors on the
recording sheet. Give yourself 1 point if it is a
composite number and 3 points if it is a prime
number.
4. The player with the most points after 10 turns
wins!
